“We really enjoyed our stay at the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa! The location is perfect, right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and pubs. We especially loved watching the fishing boats and ferries coming and going in the harbor. Our room was very comfortable, and the hotel was a wonderful home base for exploring Oban. We would happily stay here again!”

“This was in walking distance to the waterfront which had all the shops, cafes and restaurants that we needed. It was also close for the ferry to Mull. The hotel did not have a buffet but you ordered from the menu and everything was brought to your table so everything was piping hot. They also had a good breakfast selection to choose from. We were very pleased with the standard of cleanliness of the room. Nice big shower as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“Staff service was excellent. Good was amazing. Some noise at night due to creeky floorboards above. Room was lovely with nice touches eg water and biscuits.”

“Really enjoyed our stay. The character in the bar/restaurant of this old ferry house building was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Great location, great value, definitely coming back!”

“Not worth the cost. The bathroom fan wasn’t working and the shower drain needs unclogging. I had to stop the water for it to drain or it would have over flown the base. The stove light didn’t work. There was no toaster. No facial tissue/kleenex. The dish sponge was used (not good for someone with food allergies like me). There were only two glasses. And be warned, if you are on the top floor like we were, the sun shines on the sliding door all afternoon and into the evening, making the place……

“Very nice place and lovely staff Vintage style and food is amazing Place needs maintenance which was fedback to the team”

“It's a lovely and characteristic guesthouse. The owner pays a lot of attention to the details. We stayed in a standard room, but the rest of the rooms are full of charming. Highly recommended.”

“The Melfort House is a beautiful and well-maintained home. The rooms are cozy and charming and the staff was helpful. I was the only one there, so it was very quiet! Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order. It is a fair piece from town, which I did not realize, but the GPS took me right to the front door.”

“This hotel is not suitable for disabled people as there is no lift on the ground floor but there is one on the first floor. Over all speaking as a disabled person the value for the few days I spent there too high .would I return no”

“Lovely little spot for a stay on Oban. We really enjoyed the comfortable stay and many recommendations for things to do in the region. Some miscommunication and late communication made a little hiccup to our first night without wifi access- otherwise all was good. Would stay again.”

“Mike was a wonderful host, full of character and knowledgeable of the places and people.”

“A well appointed full unit in the centre of Oban with an owner who is engaging and a font of local knowledge. Highly recommended.”

“Floor in the kitchen had major buckling a trip hazard. They needed to leave a booklet or something with directions with the Wi-Fi passcode and everything felt like we had to text. Wait for answers. We never got the pre-instructions before we got there. That was a hassle. ”

“Iain and his family have a beautiful property just outside of Oban. We enjoyed exploring Oban, but really enjoyed hanging out on the property in the sunshine. The cottage was perfect for our family. ”
