Great location with views

This is a great house and in a great location. Not only did we sit at the end of a canal, we could walk across the street and we were 3-5 minutes from being on the beach.

Beautiful property

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The back yard is truly not to be believed. The pool was perfectly heated, a great size, with a fun waterslide and its own swim-up tiki bar! We loved using the grill and hot tub, and gazing at the gorgeous canal. The house itself was very nice-- it's not huge but it was comfortable, air conditioned with a nice well-equipped kitchen. One small suggestion to the owners for next time: considering the house has 5 bedrooms and fits a large family gathering, we'd suggest having more garbage bags, dish soap, soap, shampoo and laundry detergent!!

Beautiful property, would stay again with some minor-ish changes

Checked in on March 2 to no power on one side of the house. Called emergency line and was walked (though took a while) locating the fuse box. I would have appreciated not having to do that at 10:30pm since it ended up being outside where there were no exterior lights. We only got one set of towels per person. There was not a “spa” in the pool area…yes a “spa/hot tub” but it didn’t work. I would bring your own fishing poles with you if you want to fish since there’s were old/broken and we couldn’t find any supplies. Now for the good stuff… Being at the end of the canal is wonderful. The pool area looking out at the canal was beautiful! We saw 2 manatees right near our dock. The house has nice accommodations. 2 of the bedrooms (the bunk room and the small king room) are quite small but it worked for the 7 of us. All In all a beautiful place with some minor upgrades/changes needed.

Great house and location!

The house and location were perfect for the vacation we wanted. We had a wonderful time and definitely plan to stay again. I’ve also sent the link to SEVERAL people who wanted details. Issues we had: The people who stayed before us apparently had a water balloon fight and none of it was cleaned up. The pool was not very clean either. A lot of algae in the shallow end. We also had no internet the entire time which was difficult for us as small business owners. Communication to get it resolved was not great at all. We finally spoke with Jeremy at AMI Locals and he was very apologetic and gave us a credit. Those issues are definitely not make or break and I would still highly recommended this house for a great family vacation. We even had a manatee visitor that came right up to us at the dock. We named him Bubbles and the kids were very said to say goodby to him.

Great location but on a busy road

The house was great and it was close to the beach. Umbrellas weren’t great but offered some shade. We appreciated the wagon to take stuff to the beach and we were only 1 block from the BEAUTIFUL beach. Close to shopping and food. It is on the busiest road on the island so that was a little bit of a negative but didn’t keep us from enjoying our stay. The backyard is smaller than it appears in the photos but the pool and hot tub are very nice.

Great amenities

Wonderful property to provide entertainment in pool or canal for all. The Water slide was awesome. We loved having beach toys and chairs available. The beds are a little tired at this property and feel like getting in and out of an air bed. Otherwise our stay was fabulous!

Tortuga Bay

We absolutely loved the outdoor space at this property. We enjoyed the pool and the view of the bay. It was also a short easy walk to the beach. We would stay here again for sure. Thank you AMI locals!

RENTERS BEWARE--THIS HOUSE IS RIGHT NEXT TO CONSTRUCTION!!!

I recently stayed a week at this location with a group of friends. The setting, the house, the location...phenomenal!! Yet there are circumstances making it not quite paradise at this time. My stay was subpar due to the management of the property and the construction going on next door. My first morning I was awoken at 7AM by such loud banging that I momentarily feared someone was in the house! Traveling from the west this was 5AM to me! It took me awhile to cautiously walk around and then determine the sounds were coming from construction next door. It was so loud I could not fall back asleep. I was staying in the master bedroom which puts the construction less than 15' away. They began work every day at 7AM except thankfully on weekends and it lasts until 4-5pm. Don’t expect quiet morning coffee times by the pool or afternoon siestas. Hammering, saws and the loud music from the construction workers is what you will get. Supposedly mgmt company contacted them about the loud music but it was never turned down. I know the owners aren't to blame for the construction but in my opinion I am surprised renters aren't given a warning or heads up. I spent a lot of money on a vacation that I expected to be a time to exhale and during the construction times it was loud and stressful. I should have been informed of it during the booking process so that I could decide if that's what I wanted to deal with. And this construction is just starting so will last for months and months. As far as the rental company I spent way too much time calling and emailing about things in the house that should have been done before I got there. The wifi password incorrect in the notebook took 24 hours and several calls/emails to resolve. Several light bulbs out (master shower, lamp in back bedroom, bunk room no light at all) and insects in the kitchen was never responded to. Because the house is managed by a management company, Instead of dealing with one manager which has been my experience in all of the other rentals I have done, I dealt with several different people and quite a lag time to respond to issues. Not how I choose to spend my vacation. Heads up on the hot tub- it doesn't have typical strong jets like most hot tubs Just circulating water jets. It takes almost 1 1/2 hours to warm up the hot tub which is kind of a pain. And when you do that you take the heat away from the pool. Once we figured out that was the system we managed.

Beautiful property

We really enjoyed our stay. The place has a great pool and hot tub with beautiful view. Unfortunately, the hot tub only gets to about 100 degrees. Normally this would not be an issue in Florida but it was rather cold during our visit. I liked the layout of the property but the beds were very uncomfortable. There were plenty of towels and beach towels. Most of the TVs has access to Netflix and other streaming services.

Beautiful

At first was not sure about a house on the main road but, that quickly changed. The foliage in front gave the house good privacy. The minute we walked in and saw the house, the backyard and the view we were in love with the place. The house was very clean and looked great. The back with the pool, waterfall, foliage and tiki bar is gorgeous. I ended up sitting at the tiki bar a couple times with my laptop getting some work done (never get away from work) Spent multiple mornings sitting out back looking over the pool down the channel watching the sunrise with coffee in hand. Getting a 25ft boat docked in a (probably) 35ft dock was a little tricky being at the end of the channel with not having a lot of boating experience but figured it out. Plus a tritoon turns different than a v-hull (at least that's my excuse). Did have a problem, contacted AMI and they were on it that day and someone was there within a couple hours. The Gulf was a short walk away with a beautiful beach and very few people. Watched several sunsets there. Would definitely stay there again. The AMI folks were great.

Great spot, great house, awesome pool and canal!

We visited Anna Maria with our extended family, and loved our stay at this house! Our annual summer visit to the Island is now a tradition, and we found this house to be one of our favorites. The house was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the pool was wonderful, particularly with the view into the canal. The location is perfect - a beautiful beach a block away and then other beautiful beaches just a short walk away. All-in-all, we'll definitely be coming back!!

Excellent

We LOVED the house and the location, The kitchen is completely equipped with everything you may need. The pool is gorgeous. You are a block away to the beach and a few blocks away to restaurants and boutiques. The house is waterfront so you can dock your boat on the back. Plenty of parking space, very private. Awesome grill. Know that the house is one story and even though it has 5 bedrooms they are very small. There is only one common area, the living room, dinning room and kitchen are all connected. If your guests need privacy from each other, this is not your place. Rent a house with multiple floors and different hanging out spaces. The house has no balcony. It has no bikes. You will have to rent them. When we first got there, we tried contacting the owner at 10:30 at night because the jacuzzi didn’t work. He didn’t answer until the next morning. The jacuzzi doesn’t work. The guys that service the pool came unnanounced. We had to get out of the pool to let them do their work. They also blocked the driveway so we had to wait for them to finish in order to leave for lunch. This is why I rated communication with the owner a 3 Overall a wonderful place, with exception of not being able to use the jacuzzi, we had a marvelous time and would love to go back!

Great Family Vacation

We had a great time at this fabulous property. The pool, with water slide and jump off platform was the absolute hit for our 4 and 5 year olds, not to mention the adults. The hot tub was always filled with the young adults. This was a great and needed family get together.

Perfect Stay!

We stayed at this beautiful property in Mid April. The house is lovely and fit my 6 adult children and one son-in-law with no problem. The location is ideal to the beach, town and Sandbar for sunsets. We rented a boat (from Cannons per Eric's recommendation) for a 3 days, so fun to have it docked right in our backyard! Another highlight was Kelly Hunt, who came to insect the property to ensure it was clean. Kelly also runs a Painting with Fish business which we did and was so fun! Everything was in working order, plenty of kitchenware, towels, beach chairs etc. Pool was clean and well cared for and great to hang out either all day or after a long beach day. Would love to come back next year!!!
