"The Simpson Resort was slightly disappointing compared to the previous reviews that influenced my booking. 1.) The front desk staff was very helpful while checking in however when we returned to the front desk to ask about the restaurants we were given a map and offered a shuttle ride there. The shuttle driver drove us ALL around the resort before dropping us off. We tipped him accordingly! We ultimately realized that the restaurants were located less than 800 feet away from our room!! Everything was walkable and no shuttle needed as the resort is small! 2.) This is a timeshare and not a hotel. 3.) Check out is BEFORE 10am!! Please read the fine print. 4.) The gym is at a daily rate and not included in your stay. 5.) The resort is kinda dated as the aesthetics are very 90’s 6.) Location is ideal and walkable to most popular locations but if you ask staff they will encourage you to catch a taxi. Please don’t! Take the walk, it’s likely less than 10 minutes walk from the resort. 7.) We never saw the pool being cleaned or treated. 8.) The breakfast is really good for the price. 9.) Location was exceptional!! The beach is literally right there and safe to swim. 10.) Staff were nice and helpful. Appreciate their attentiveness and effort to accommodate. 11.) There was a roach in our room but otherwise the room was clean with exception for the moldy tub tiles. Again, this is an older resort that is primarily still a timeshare. 12.) It was really LOUD above us! Running! Jumping!"

"The staff were wonderful. We were greeted with a cold towel and champagne. My room was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was excellent. The buffet was my preference. I’d absolutely recommend. 10/10!"

"This villa was everything we could have asked for. We had a 8 ladies and had an absolutely wonderful stay. It is on the French side tucked into the hill. You need a taxi or a car. It is remote although a beach is nearby. It is a gated property so we felt completely safe. Very quiet area. Perfect for relaxation. Danielle is on property and is so lovely and helpful. The bedrooms were comfortable. The showers hot. Kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of beach towels and floats. The view is so much better than the photos. A/C in all bedrooms. Loved the open air concept. Careful walking into the glass doors - they were so clean we couldn’t tell lol. I am already going thru withdrawals. Just one tiny suggestion. Maybe seal the deck as walking barefoot does give splinters if you are not careful. 100 out of 10 would absolutely book again. Tell Gaston we miss him!!"
