“This BnB was very nice. Clean, and a good sized room with a loft that comfortably fit our family of four. The location is perfect, in the Sassi, the old part of Matera. It’s a short, picturesque walk from the door to restaurants, bars, and shopping, and the historic Sasso Caveoso. Our hosts were very lovely people, very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was good, with some local breads & cornetti, fruit, and very good coffee. I would definitely recommend La Pergola ai Sassi.”

"The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance."
