"We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed the surroundings and the drive to the property. The area is peaceful and quiet, with plenty to do for kids, including a mountain hike that even our 2- and 6-year-olds managed well. The grounds are beautiful for photos, very well maintained, and we often saw the crew cleaning and painting the sidewalks. I booked 2 suites, which were a good size for a family of four and offered plenty of space. The only downsides were that check-in felt a bit tedious it took several tries to swipe my card and there was no housekeeping service or follow-up to check on amenities during our stay. A self check-in option would make things smoother. Overall, we loved the quietness, the family-friendly activities, and the clean, well-kept property. With a few improvements in guest service, this could easily be a 5-star experience."

"A great place if you appreciate and like history. The lobby is filled with antiques and the porch is great to rock in a chair and sip some wine. Parking is no issue and you can walk to local restaurants and shops. "

"I had a great stay at this comfortable, homey, family owned inn. The beds were vrry comfortable and the rooms had everything I needed including a fridge, lots of towels, a hair dryer etc. The property is clean, safe and very quiet. There’s an Indian restaurant on site with delicious food and a bar. The lake is lovely; I enjoyed a relaxing time sitting by the lake with my dog. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room has a gorgeous view of the lake. I will definitely be back for another stay."

"A very nice and relaxing week...easy check in and communication with the owner was easy too. The screened in porch is beautiful w/views of the lake and sounds of the birds. The kitchen is efficient,well stocked, and updated with very nice pots and pans ( an important asset to me). I suggest the owner update the photos for the listing because overall it is much nicer than the current listing photos...New stove, new microwave, updated deck, railings, stairs and dock. yes, it was quiet and peaceful. "
