Enjoyed our stay. It was a nice weekend get away for the family. Modern but rustic cabin. Nice area with state park and small town. We intend on returning.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a small communication glitch in the beginning but the owner rectified it right away. The kids loved all the games available and never complained about being bored. I loved the beds which were extremely comfortable and the owners were very thoughtful with all the amenities; soaps, paper products, laundry supplies etc. We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Overall very nice stay

We also loved the fact that it had all the basic supplies that some VRBO don't always have. It had toilet paper, shower products, coffee, filters, etc so we did not have to go to the store for anything. My only issue was the communication. I had asked when i booked if we could check in earlly and were told that would be possible depending when the guests before us left. I sent a message 3 days prior and they replied with the standard 4 pm. I reminded them again asking if we could get a text or something if we could get in early and they never responded again for 3 days. Very disappointed as we had family coming from 2 different states

Their pre-trip guide was beneficial, in my opinion; it helped us organize our activities in advance and provided options to cater to a wide range of interests. Just a short drive from the cabin is Cacapon State Park, which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting.
Retrievers Retreat offers modern technology while nestled in a peaceful neighborhood.
Upon arrival, we were surprised at how clean the cabin was and were grateful for all the extras that were provided, such as hand lotion, hair conditioner, shampoo, etc. A comfy king-sized bed and many nice additions like a game room, wine refrigerator, and upgraded items in the kitchen and bathroom made for an enjoyable stay.

October 2023 weekend
发布日期：2023年11月2日 发布在：HomeAwayComfortable cabin as advertised. Only had two issue. We could not adjust the heat. It was a warm weekend in October and windows didn’t open and it was warm in the home. The third bedroom is downstairs and it was very, very warm and uncomfortable for sleeping. We could not adjust the thermostat. Also could not access Netflix and some other premium channels as advertised

Amazing Cabin close enough to everything but also far enough away

Since the listing pictures, the owners have certainly made a lot of upgrades which was a very nice surprise. New, modern furniture, upgraded bathrooms and just different appointments around the property that made for a lovely stay. I've never had a VRBO with such a well equipped kitchen. Amazon Echo Shows in all the rooms to play music and instructions to have her do more. Great TVs, all loaded with streaming services. Very comfortable beds/bedding, also an anomaly in rentals like this. The property is very secluded and private (only one neighbor barely in sight) - great fire pit area, tons of board games and even a couple old school arcade games in the basement. Its about 20 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs, which was exactly what we wanted but just a few minutes from Capacon Park, which was a great place for the dogs and humans to hike and enjoy the mountain. Owner was great with communication and also made sure we had his cell phone number should we need anything, which we didn't! 10/10 recommend and would/will go back in a heartbeat.
