“We stayed in the tide pool room surrounded by ocean views. I’ve stayed in four star hotels worldwide and this was one of the best overall experiences I’ve ever had. The fog swirling on the ocean at sunrise, followed by an amazing farm-to-table breakfast delivered to your room. This is one of those reviews I’m reluctant to write because I don’t want to compete for reservations. It’s that good. Hopefully you also get to enjoy the sourdough from Tyler’s own starter, it’s just one of the many……

“Such a cool space! Set right in the heart of Humboldt's famous redwoods, but only a quick drive to town (Fieldbrook, Blue Lake especially) and SUPER peaceful. We had plenty of floor space for my bestie to set up an air mattress as well. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating - would love to come back again sometime soon!”

“Just WOW! Meticulous restoration and reuse of an historic building. Our suite was spacious and airy. Tastefully decorated with every amenity one could want. And it was quiet. The bed was SO comfortable. We hope to return.”

“We loved our stay at Shore Acres! The property is beautiful and perfect for the kids and dog! The views of the coast were amazing and we took the short walk down to the river many times. The house is old, but very well maintained and updated. That being said, don’t expect everything to look or work perfectly. We appreciated all the linens and kitchen items, and the fun extras like the telescope and pingpong table! We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area. ”
