We loved spending our time both inside and outside the cabin…Amazing trip!” – Vanessa, '24 The Cherokee Rose is a 3-bedroom, 3-bath cabin with an additional custom 4-twin sleeping loft and an incredible outdoor space. And it's only 5 miles from downtown Blue Ridge! The cabin has breathtaking layered views, starting with the master balcony and finishing with a luxe deck expanding out over the Appalachian mountains. The space: This mountain retreat's three levels will ensure your entire party has plenty of space to relax, unwind and soak in amazing views from every floor. The views were gorgeous and the area was so peaceful. I definitely recommend staying here… - Margaret, '24 Walk in the front door to an open floor plan with a newly updated kitchen and a stunning separate Dining room. The adjacent Living room is immaculately decorated, with a showcase 2-story stone fireplace and gracious leather couches. And all this opens out to a wrap-around deck with amazing views, and plenty of rockers to enjoy them! There's also an al fresco dining area with the best “view from a grill” in Blue Ridge! Off the kitchen is a en suite King bedroom with its own access to the deck and two designated rockers. “We loved our stay! There's a charming third Queen bedroom and also a Full Bath and you just have to walk out the back door from the 2nd Living room to the hot tub, huge outdoor fire pit and resort-style overlook area with its own custom built-in and café seating, fire tables and café lights. This is where your entire group can relax and unwind together while overlooking the magnificent Appalachian Mountains. The Cherokee Rose mountain sunsets are amazing. 5 Stars! – Karen, '24 Around Town: Even though you won't ever want to leave the Cherokee Rose, there's so much to do in Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas. For the adventurers, there's Lake Blue Ridge and all kinds of water sports to be enjoyed. Definitely grab a bite or a beer at the Marina, a local favorite, afterwards! Embrace the natural wonder of the Aska Adventure Region and make the trek to the incredible Toccoa Swinging Bridge. The area is also a farm to table mecca with numerous fabulous wineries, cideries and orchards (a visit to Mercier Orchards is a must!) and wonderful restaurants like the Black Sheep downtown. There's plenty of classic family fun as well, from the Swan Drive-In to the iconic Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and Expedition Big Foot museum! There's no way not to have a perfect vacation here, in any season! Guest access: There is paved road access all the way up Sunrock Mountain, easily accessed in a 2wd vehicle. And in front of the cabin, there is plenty of paved parking in the driveway for guests. Things to note After each guest, we thoroughly clean the hot tub to ensure it's in pristine condition for your enjoyment. However, please note that the hot tub will not be immediately heated to your desired temperature upon your arrival. It takes some time for the water to heat up to the desired temperature, so we ask that you adjust the temperature as soon as you arrive if you plan on using the hot tub during your stay. Location a good within 15 mins to most things we wanted to do downtown Blue ridge. Generally clean but a lot of the dishes were dirty. Could use an upgrade on cookware-get rid of Teflon. The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the back patio did not look like the photos in the listing. There were a lot of weeds overgrown everywhere including the steps from the deck down to the firepit area. We did enjoy the fire pit one night but prob would have utilized this area a lot more (part of why I booked this cabin) if everything wasn’t so overgrown and was maintained to look the way it does in the listing photos. ##### Ashley C. The cabin was extremely clean, well furnished, and very spacious. The patio was picture perfect and we enjoyed having the option of both gas or wood burning fire Pitt! There was plenty of dining space both inside and outside. The bedrooms and bathrooms were VERY spacious and clean! We also enjoyed the game room and hot tub! This cabin is pet friendly. We really liked that the main level outdoor deck was gated off. Our dog was able to roam around without us worrying about her getting out. We highly recommend this property! We would love to see the clear Mountain View during the Fall or Spring as well because even now during the cooler month it was spectacular! I am sure the colors would be stunning! I rate this house a 5 out of 5! My only recommendations would be additional cookware. We had a family of four and cooked most meals at the cabin. We were in need of a large skillet and large cooking tray. Also, my other recommendation is a different placement for the security camera outback. Currently, it is placed directly over the hot tub. I don’t believe it was facing the tub directly but I am not fully sure. I would just recommend a different placement for guest privacy.
