Bluff Dwellings Resort

"Hotel was like an oasis in the middle of the desert with spacious rooms and a lovely pool and hot tub. Dining options were limited on-site but the food was fine if a little expensive for what it was. Freshly cooked pizza was the best option - Chicken wings were fatty and not so nice. Complimentary breakfast cereal bars were available in Reception along with tea/coffee."

"After a six hour drive I was very pleasantly surprised. There are very few options so although I am on a budget I splurged a bit for this place and I do not regret it at all. As soon as I walked in, the cool air and clean, modern accommodations were lovely and a sight for tired eyes. Andi was extremely hospitable and everything you could ever need is at your fingertips. I am not in this area often, but I will definitely stay here again in the future if my travels permit. Thank you for a wonderful experience I only wish I could have stayed longer."

"I had to book a last minute room for my husband on a motorcycle trip as he was stuck in a lightning storm and needed a safe place to stay. The host was unavailable in person but her communication over the phone made the check in process seamless. My husband had a great night sleep other than a person trying to get into his room in the morning. Would recommend other than that!"

"Mixed pros/cons:Pros: Great communication from host, very nice to have washing machine/laundry detergent, propane grill and coffee provided. Very quiet at night and check in was easy. Very nice patio view.Cons: Unpleasant smell - we don't know if from the A/C window unit, previous dog guests, or what but the property had an unpleasant smell. It was grubby clean. While the the sinks, toilet, bed sheets, and carpets were clean things beyond the basics were not clean. Some examples are finding dirty dishes/silverware mixed in (at check out guests are to clean the dishes and put them away and not everyone washes well), grubby tv remote, curdled creamer (I tried 10 different little creamers and all were chunky), and whatever was causing the smell. Tips: Bluff Fort (3 minute drive) shares the amazing story of the Hole in the Rock Expedition. Those people were tough! Free admission. The nearest grocery store is Blanding (about 25 miles) so be sure to stock up before you arrive."
