The rooms are a converted brownstone right in the heart of all of the spots - Newbury shops, Public garden, and many restaurants. The rooms are charming with plenty of space and great for an extended stay. The front desk manager, Thomas, was also very friendly, helpful, and even let us check in early since our room was vacant. Would highly recommend The Inn at St. Botolph!

Although the property is in a convenient area and neighborhood - it was not inviting. Outside trash and a rat trap set up to the left of the stairs. Outside Lift not in operation. Dark brown painted walls inside and dark dirty carpet thought out the facility. Big white stain on the brown carpet in our room. Uncomfortable and worn out furniture in the living room. Continental breakfast did have a nice selection but no tables to sit and eat. Choice to seat in this area was Two uncomfortable sofas in a very warm room. The elevator was dirty as well as the carpet filthy. I personally would not put this in the level of a Boutique Hotel. SO DISAPPOINTED that I chose this for my special trip to Boston. They definitely need to renovate and update carpet, furniture and paint the walls a brighter color.

The Inn at St Botolph won us over
This property grew on us. At first, we thought it seemed a little run down for the price. For example, the fabric on the chair in our room was threadbare and the elevator seemed a little rickety. However once we got more settled in we were able to reevaluate our initial impressions. The location is quiet and great for visiting either Berklee/BoCO, Northeastern, or the Back Bay. Fenway Park is an easy 25-30 min walk. The breakfast was good with full size everything, real dishes and silverware, a Nespresso, and delicious bakery English muffins. The hotel allows guests to use a complimentary washer/dryer, including detergent. This came in handy. The manager is wonderful, in addition. Our stay ended up having the vibe of something between a bed and breakfast and an air bnb. We will return when visiting the area.

Perfect one night stay for mother & college age daughter. Comfortable, beautifully decorated, full amenities, with kitchen, a/c, breakfast, water bottles, tea,coffee, loved the Nespresso machine. Very quiet at night. In a residential neighbourhood. Eateries & indoor shopping center with a CVS within walking distance. Thomas at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
