Buxton Crescent
10/10 Excellent
"Loved our stay at the crescent. Growing up I saw this building be renovated to its glory and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful luxury rooms with robes in the room big walk in shower and bath. Spa is peaceful and nice addition for the extra cost which compared to a day spa is great price. Breakfast was quite busy but the server was really helpful and sorted my gluten free breakfast and brought toast too without me even asking which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a bit of luxury for a stay in Buxton but it’s not overly posh. Great location for exploring Peak District or visiting the theatre in Buxton."
Old Hall Hotel

"The Hotel is quirky & very interesting due to the history of the building. Very clean but tired, when staff were around they were helpful. Well situated for all Buxton has to offer especially Opera House, Pavilion Gardens & restaurants. We live about 13 miles away and would always choose to stay at the Old Hall overnight when visiting the Opera House. Have stayed in various rooms and the beds have always been extremely comfortable. The breakfasts are ok but the hot food could do with being hotter! All things considered value for money."

Rooms at the Vault

"Our room at The Vault was spacious but cosy. Decorated nicely and the bathroom with the walk in shower was nice and modern. We were warned of there being night life below and it was indeed very loud with constant booming music and rowdy people outside. This was from 9pm til 2am, we didn't mind as it was a Friday night so to be expected in the town centre, we watched a film on the Tv in the room from the comfy bed."
Compton Guest House

"The house is about 15 minutes walk from the train station in a quiet area. It took a couple of goes to gain entry using the touchpad. The room was clean and a good size. Bed was comfortable, although quite high. There is a good cafe, Eat at Number 5, at the end of the street."

"Vicky & Daryl clearly work incredibly hard to run their pub with rooms and they were both friendly and helpful there is plenty of parking with good pub food and ample portions both for dinner and breakfast"

"Very attentive staff and great food. My only observation is that the dining area could do with a lick of paint, but that’s only a minor thing and a logistical challenge!! Would definitely visit again."
