![Buxton Opera House is a 902 seat theatre located in The Square, Buxton, Derbyshire, England. 

It hosts the annual Buxton Festival and, from 1994 to 2013, the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival as well as pantomime at Christmas, musicals and other entertainments year-round.

Hosting live performances until 1927, the theatre then was used mostly as a cinema until 1976.

"We had a lovely stay, easy to find with nice touches of bread jam cereal and eggs. Would like a bedside lamp to be able to read and a small hoover or broom as we were staying a week .but apart from that couldn’t fault it at all, lovely to meet the owners who were helpful and friendly . It hosts the annual Buxton Festival and, from 1994 to 2013, the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival as well as pantomime at Christmas, musicals and other entertainments year-round.

"The hotel.was ideally situated to explore Buxton. The area where the hotel was is lovely and quiet. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 1 night which usually means you get a small room but the room was a good size. The floorboards outside in the corridors are very creaky which kept us awake at times and had we stayed longer it would have disturbed our sleep but other than that I would definitely stay here again."
