Fabulous Stay

Good price for the location

Difficulty with hot water initially. Air conditioner had no temperature control. Upstairs never cooled down. Great location right on the beach. The pool area was nice. Great maid service. Nice to have drinking water. It would be nice to have more beach towels because they didn’t dry overnight.

Beautiful spot in the hotel zone

Huge complex with three different pool areas located right on the sandy beach of the hotel zone strip. Great swimming out front, plenty of lounge chairs on the beach and around the pools, stunning views! Oxxo and plenty of restaurant options very close by; it’s a great location. The apartment is simple but has everything you need, including a full kitchen and a lovely little patio with plenty of seating to enjoy the view of the ocean from your room as well.

I recommend

We stayed for two nights. We were three married couples. We flew to Cancun from different cities and it was convenient to spend a few days before traveling on the beach. The apartment is located very conveniently, close to the airport, shops, cafes. This is the second time we have stayed with Jackie and we are very pleased.

Very Nice Stay

Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Very convenient location, right off the beach. You can buy groceries in walking distance. Plenty of restaurants close by. The owner maintains the property to its best capabilities. Just some amenities are too old for her to handle, especially AC. Jackie is a very responsible host.

Family Trip 2024

Over all, the experience was good. The AC was not working the first night, however, I reached out to Jacky, and it was fixed. We did have issues with dealing with shower as it was instructed to only use the hot water. It was difficult to balance temperature. The interior could use an upgrade. The location was excellent though and beach areas was beautiful. Property close walk to the beach.

Month getaway

This was our first time in Cancun and longest stay at one resort. We had a great stay. The accommodation was what we expected from the description. We were close to all amenities required for a longer stay. Groceries, restaurants, bus/taxi right out the door. Security was phenomenal. Communication with the owner was excellent. The owner even went out of their way to accommodate a special request for beach chairs! We would highly recommend this VRBO unit

Great unit

Everything was as described, any little issues were dealt with promptly ( little as in burnt light bulb) Jacky was very fast in replying with any questions we had. LANDY and her cleaning crew were fantastic.. would recommend this property to anyone. We have stayed in this condo complex multiple times and is in a great location...a couple min walk to grocery store and many restaurants within 5 mins walking

Excellent Experience

Wonderful overall experience. The location is great, right next to a mall that has a full grocery store and a few food places. It’s also about 1/2 mile from la Isla shopping complex, with so many food and shopping options. The beach was awesome and just steps from the condo. The pools were all nice and not crowded. The property complex is a little dated, but the condo was very clean and perfect for our needs. The pool areas and bathrooms are also kept clean. The owner is great. She is very accommodating and quick to respond. We would stay there again and recommend the condo to our friends.

Great place to stay

If you are looking for a property to stay that is in the hotel district, but not in the middle of all the tourist traps, then this is the property to stay at. It's right next to a mall with a grocery store (we like to cook on vacation). The property had a great stove to cook with, the beach is right next to the property with several fine dining establishments within walking distance as well. The only issue we encountered was during checkin at the security desk. If you rent and drive your own car, the security team needs an ID that isn't your driver's license or passport to exchange for your parking tag, but that was just because we didn't speak enough Spanish. We would definitely stay here again.

Outdated unit

The unit is old and needs tender loving care. The plastic wine glasses are plastic and old. There are roaches and the bathroom has mold on the ceiling. Great location but the unit is very dated. Not a place that I would want to stay at in the future.

Fantastic, relaxing location

We brought our kids to Mexico for the first time as a graduation gift before they head off to college. This location exceeded our extensions in every way. Outside of all the hustle of downtown, yet still just a short ten minute bus ride to the nightlife/shopping. Conveniently located from a grocery store across the street and several great restaurants within walking distance. The pool and beach were never too crowded offering plenty of spaces to sit and relax. Free beach chairs were provided by the property. Unique layout with 1.5 baths downstairs, two queen size beds and bedroom, kitchen, living room and balcony upstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every night/morning listening to the waves. The host was very responsive and answered all questions about the area in a timely manner. We were pleasantly surprised by the strong water pressure and hot water for showers. Housekeeping did a wonderful job and came several times during our stay. Everything you need for a perfect vacation!! We hope to come back in the near future!! Thank you for a great week!!!

Beautiful view and peaceful

The bad first. The room was very outdated. We never turned on the television. Construction made it very noisy and we could hear people in next r walking up stairs. No one speaks English that could be of help to us so we had to Google translate everything. Very few food places. The beds were very uncomfortable. There were no washcloths. We paid $40usd for cleaning and to replenish towels..we never got them. The good: beautiful view of the ocean..everyone was friendly.. secluded beach not very crowded.. pool was warm and quiet... very relaxing stay.. very quiet at night. Host responded to all of my questions everytime.. she let me check in early.

Great location

the picture was misleading, it looked like our condo was right on the beach as pictured. The condos are in rows, our condo was in the third row back and we had an upstairs balcony that we could see a long roof and the ocean but no beach. We didn't spend a lot of time on the balcony, it was nice to sit out and have coffee in the morning. Communication with property owner was excellent, they worked very hard to accommodate all of our needs. Location was in a good area with lots of restaurants and we felt safe. You can purchase groceries, pesos & catch a bus at mall across the street. The pools were nice and if you get there early, you can get a beach chair. We didn't spend a lot of time in the condo itself, Mostly by the pool. Isla mall is about half a mile from the condos. We spent a day there lots of good food and shops. I would definitely stay in these condos again, but would want an ocean view. Would buy food and cook instead of going out, we were only there for 4 days so didn't feel like it was necessary too buy food for that at short of time.. the instructions on getting to the condo were not good, the taxi driver missed it the first time around. When we got to the gate of Villa Marlin, there was no directions on how to find to our condo . We found a nice young man outside that helped us otherwise we would not have found it. Location of the condo was the biggest issue... otherwise a good location. We also were able to take an uber to airport on our departure.

Beautiful spot!!

We loved our stay. The view from the balcony is amazing even though we were 3 buildings back from the ocean you feel like you’re right at the ocean. It takes about 45 seconds to walk to the pool which is directly beside the beach. Our hostess was very responsive with any questions we had. The villa was very cute. The bed was a bit hard for me but I also slept very well so it was fine. The security by the pool is very strict which can be a little bit annoying but on the other hand it made it very relaxing. Most of the rules just made a lot of sense so I was happy they were being enforced. The location was fantastic and there was a restaurant across the street called Burger that was one of the best restaurants we went to all week. The bus comes every 2 minutes which takes you downtown for $1. There’s a great mall and grocery store across the street. There’s also a beautiful hospital by the villa so when my husband got an ear ache we went over and he was in and out with a prescription in 30m. I would definitely stay here again. Our whole group loved it and they all agreed it was better than being at an all inclusive. None of us got sick, we all felt wonderful all week and we didn’t spend time in buffet lines or getting up at 7am to try to get a couple chairs by the pool. It was the best vacation we’ve had in a long time.

First family visit to the Villa!

Our visit to Villa Marlin was for 12 days in April. Lots of sun but very windy. It eventually eased towards the end of our trip. Our unit was very clean and the view was fantastic, as was the central location. We found it very secure, safe and quiet. We were close to 3 shallow kids pools and a few steps to a larger deeper cooler pool for adults. There was no handrail in the main washroom shower. Overall we would recommend this 2 bedroom condo. Thank you Jacky for your help.
