The location was terrific and the apartment is small but workable for a family. However there are a few things that need to be better maintained: 1) the hot water reduced water in sink and shower to a dribble (so be prepared for cold showers); 2) the kettle needs to be replaced (switches on/of without boiling); 3) a broken window had been ‘fixed’ with cardboard and duck tape (which came loose in the wind during our stay). Also, I’d seen the feedback on check-in so was sure to confirm my arrival time several days ahead. However, this was not communicated properly to the concierge (who was lovely!) so we were delayed getting in.

Unsere schlechteste Unterkunft der gesamten Südafrika‑Reise. Der Check‑in über Propr war extrem umständlich: Trotz Erklärung, dass wir wegen Aktivitäten keine genaue Ankunftszeit nennen können, wurden wir täglich erneut kontaktiert. Nach Nennung eines Zeitfensters wurde uns dann ein anderer Termin zugeteilt – ohne Rücksprache. Bei der Schlüsselübergabe erfuhren wir, dass Internet und Wohnzimmerlampe nicht funktionieren. Danach war die zuvor sehr schnelle Kommunikation plötzlich sehr zäh. Ein Servicebesuch wurde nur zu Zeiten angeboten, in denen wir nicht vor Ort waren; ein Termin während unseres Aufenthalts wurde in drei Tagen nicht ermöglicht. Die Sauberkeit war enttäuschend, die Zimmer durch einfache Verglasung sehr laut. Zusätzlich war der Fernseher wegen fehlendem Internet nicht nutzbar, die Fernbedienung hatte leere Batterien und wir fanden noch mehr kaputte Lampen z.B. an der Küchen Theke und der Dunstabzugshaube. Auch nach diesen Meldungen sorgte Propr nicht für Abhilfe. Für den Preis pro Nacht für diese Unterkunft konnten wir in Kapstadt problemlos eine Nacht an der Waterfront im Hotel inklusive Frühstück verbringen – deutlich angenehmer.

Nice flat, good location

This apartment was well-priced and is in a good location on the promenade. For the same sort of price as a hotel room with a rollaway bed - our family of two adults and one child were very comfortable here with the added advantages of two private bedrooms and a kitchenette. Obviously this is not a hotel so I needed to make a plan to get the keys - but this worked well even with me arriving a bit earlier than expected. Unfortunately the gate remote did not work so we ended up parking on the street. I am sure this would have been rectified by the letting service if we had called them - but we ran out of time. The furniture is nice - although the main room has a small double bed and the TV is small.
