Pool room was cold & night staff didn't have keys to adjust thermostat. Room temp was either hot or cold, unable to keep consistent temp. Staff was great and price was good for location

Pros: Price
Cons: Cleanliness - breakfast variety - room had dirty walls.
Location: Close to a walgreens and culvers and I80.
Take Note - you will be charged for any people over 1 staying in the room. Also, I booked through Expedia who billed me and then AmericInn billed me as well. I called Expedia and they took care of it promptly. I don't always check my credit card bill that close and am so happy that I caught this!

Staff was rude especially when I called and talked to manager about how disappointed we were with the pathetic breakfast lay out. What was offered was terrible also there was no juice or milk and this nasty manager (women don't know her name) pretty much called me a liar and argued with me!!!! We had people in 4 different rooms and 2 of the rooms beds looked like they had not been changed. Very embarrassing especially when we told our friends that stayed there too that AmericInns were the best place to stay!!!! They also complained to staff and guest relations!!

Nice hotel for the price

Pros: The size of the room was nice and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: They should add a fitness room.
This hotel was a good price. It was a little further from Iowa City than I realized when I booked it. The doors aren't handicapped equipped, which made it difficult to get in and out with a lot of bags. The elevator was a bit scary, so we took the stairs every time we went to our room.

Pros: The location
Cons: The breakfast could have definitely been better. The front desk could have been friendlier.
Location: We just stayed the night and moved on, but it was easy on and off the highway.
I have stayed in an AmericInn before and this was dissappointing. The breakfast was minimal. My coffee was weak, looked like tea. There was vomit or spilled food in the hallway and when I told the front desk about it they went and looked at it, but it was still there in the morning when I checked out. Both the gentleman who checked me and and checked me out were very cold and and did not speak to me any more than they had to.

In the search with Expedia we looked for a room for two people. Surprised at online checkout that there was an extra charge for the second person. Called both Expedia and AmericInn and they just pointed fingers at each other. Both told us we would receive a call back - never happened! The room was clean, but no place to set luggage. The continental breakfast was very poor. Coffee was cold, no milk, hot food was not hot and was not staffed when the breakfast time started.

unfriendly staff- terrible manager!!!

Manger had messed up reservation from expedia and only reserved one room instead of 2. Didn't allow her staff to correct her mistake. Allowed us to stand in lobby and wait for 1 hr and 15 minutes at check in desk while expedia people tried to explain error to staff at hotel and they were relaying information to manager via phone call. Manager refused to talk to us and wouldn't allow us another room unless we paid higher rate. Very bad customer service and terrible experience.

Pros: Convenience for the price. Nice location near shopping and entertainment.
Cons: Can sometimes hear traffic from highway but tends to quiet down later at night.
Location: Many shops and retail stores in close proximity and Coral Ridge Mall very close as well.

Not much sleep!

Pros: It was close to the Mall.
Cons: The fire alarm system!
Location: Great mall and Iowa University athletic facilities are close by.
The fire alarm went off twice once around 4:45 am an again at around 5:45 am. I was disappointed that the motel did not offer a coupon for our troubles.
