"The hotel foyer/reception was like a building site. Whilst I was informed beforehand that work was being undertaken, I didn’t expect it to be so major. The reception (when we found it) was a small office room in which staff were eating their meals. We were directed to chalet accommodation which quite frankly was shabby ( stained carpets and linen). "We spent 3 nights at the Maun Lodge. It is a bit older, but considering its convenience and free airport shuttle, we were happy with our stay. The room itself was basic but very clean and house keeping came every day to tidy up and replace any dirty towels and restock complimentary still water bottles to the room. The restaurant is busy and offers a decent menu. The staff is friendly and helpful with whatever you need. We enjoyed the pool on our final day. It is a cold water pool, but we were happy lounging in the lounge chairs and enjoying the shade and quiet. Overall, we would stay again if we return to Maun. "
