The location is ideal for hiking and swimming, and many interesting sites and beautiful small villages within reach. “Super cool apartment in the old wall city. NOTE: There is no reception and you need to contact Casa Palma for arrival to arrange meeting for keys and payment. It's like finding a apartment in an ancient maze, but amazing once you find it. We didn't know about contacting the host, we were horrified that it was just closed for the season, but once we called, it was very worth the extra trouble, best stay in Greece.”

“Der Aufenthalt in Monemvasia war an sich schon etwas Magisches. Sobald man die Festung betritt, fühlt man sich in eine längst vergangene Welt versetzt. Die Besitzerin der Unterkunft schickte uns vorab eine Nachricht mit genauen Anweisungen zur Anreise und empfing uns persönlich am Tor der Festung. Dort hatte sie einen Träger organisiert, der unser Gepäck bis zum Haus brachte – ein echter Luxus, denn die engen Gassen wären mit Koffern kaum zu bewältigen gewesen. Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a relaxed, quality stay.”
