“Your response is unacceptable. The Royal Hotel was closed for refurbishment at the time of my booking — a fact that should have been known to Hotels.com before confirming any reservations. It is embarrassing that such a booking was confirmed in the first place, and the stress caused is entirely due to your company’s failure to ensure the property was operational. I will be taking this matter up with my travel insurance provider and expect Hotels.com to review its internal processes to prevent……

“Architecture and location are outstanding. Truly amazing. The Grotto suites are stunning. The views, to die for. The downsides are that the building is in need of a bit of maintenance with chipped and scratched plaster abounding. Our fridge was not clean but the linen was perfect. Lack of stair lighting to go to the main function areas is not great. Food in restaurants was good with large portions and welcoming, helpful staff. Highly recommend as a Kruger Park journey stop-over.”

“Tolle Unterkunft in sicherer Lage. Schöne Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.”

“To say that the hotel 'misrepresents' itself with its room photos would be an understatement. The rooms are dated and poorly maintained. They provide exactly nothing for their guests - no shampoo, shower gel or soap. There is no "tea and coffee making facilities", as advertised. This is, in itself, a shock for a property that claims to be 4*. This, however, is nothing compared to the aggressive, even menacing communications that are constantly received from the hotel (via the Expedia messaging……

“Walkersons is a great getaway to the scenic countryside. Gorgeous views, relaxing and very serene. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the food at the restaurant is delicious. Make sure to try the Walforf salad. The unit we stayed in (Gretel), was clean and cozy, but has aged over time and needs a modern upgrade.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute feel-good recommendation! We had a wonderful stay at The Sabie Town House Guest Lodge and would return anytime. Mr The owners are exceptionally warm and take great care of their guests with genuine dedication. From the very first moment, you feel truly welcome. The rooms are rather simple, but lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. We especially appreciated the complimentary sherry as a small gesture of hospitality, as well as the coffee and tea facilities in the room. The……

“Enjoyed the room and areas around it”

“Großzügig und schön aber nicht richtig sauber”

“Beautiful and tranquil location. The views are stunning across the hills and Sabie river. The cottage was beautifully decorated and designed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious ”

“Very good ”

“Perfect location and very intimate which is one of the reasons we will be going back to this property. Still a lot to explore in Dullies”
