“A place to feel at home – warm staff, real sustainability, stunning ocean views We spent 9 days at the Jaz Elite Aurora and were sad to leave. The hotel transfer (€100, approx. 1 hr 40 min) worked perfectly. Don’t worry if the last stretch looks remote: the hotel is new and the access road isn’t finished yet. We arrived at 10 am, were welcomed warmly, had breakfast right away and got our room by noon. The open, wall-free common areas with lots of wood feel very Zanzibar, and sustainability is……

“Overall the experience was positive. We arrived at midnight and staff was still readily available to assist. They even left a late night snack in our room upon arrival. If you are seeking a more laid back resort, it certainly fits the bill. I hoped for more activities available on site. The resort went into quiet mode after 10pm. Also I noticed they had a notification board for information but having daily itineraries either available in print in the room or on the tv would have been helpful.……

“The property was very nice and the room was clean. The staff was courteous and the owner was very helpful. The room had no air conditioning and the power went off for about 4 hours in the middle of the night. It was very hot and difficult to sleep. Also the water pressure was barely a trickle making showering almost impossible. ”

“Very beautiful property. Everyone was overly nice. They helped me everyday and I appreciate it.”

“Alles was goed we hadden een top vakantie”

“Anazing place. Great service. Great value”

“One of the best 5 stars hotels I had stayed. They make you feel like home. ”

“Great place”

“Unfortunately, our two-week stay was quite disappointing, mainly due to the food and poor organisation. The biggest problem was that there simply wasn’t enough food for all the guests. The menu was very limited at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At first, we thought we were arriving too late, but even when we started coming earlier, there was still not enough food and very little choice. We have stayed at many hotels in Zanzibar, and we have never experienced anything like this before. I find……

“We were very excited to stay at this hotel after seeing the photos, but unfortunately it turned out to be a major disappointment. First of all, there was no proper hot water in our room. Even though we reported the issue to the reception several times, it was not addressed promptly. We were eventually told that, in order to get hot water in the shower, we first had to run the hot water in the bathtub and wait. In addition, dirty water came out when we turned on the taps. There seemed to be……

“Fint hotell och härliga pooler. Mycket trevlig personal och bra mat. Fin strand med havet precis utanför. Vi var mycket nöjda ”

“Nothing at all to complain about regarding the hotel, it was excellent, but just note that the bay and the tide makes it not ideal for swimming/bathing at all times. But on the other hand, there is a looong pool available, so if the idea is to exercise swimming, this pool was excellent.”

“The room was large and very clean. The staff were very helpful.”
