“This is an old days drive up motel. It doesn't look like much, but it was immaculately clean and my room looked like it was freshly remodeled yesterday. The room was small, but was plenty for just me. The staff was very cheerfull and helpfull. Great price for the quality.”

“The Guest House in Carthage is your basic 1960’s Motel that has been renovated with updated interiors and a good kiss of maintenance on the outside. Everything was clean. Nothing was particularly special, but it was what I needed near the end of a long motorcycle journey. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, kind, and polite, even lending me his carport to protect my bike from the elements and provide a modicum of security. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it……

“ I checked in with two dogs. First floor room AC didn't work. Then assigned me to room on second floor. No helping moving my dogs or luggage to a room where AC did work. Then key card wouldn't work. The multiple trips up/down stairs was exhausting. ”

“The bathroom was well equipped for a handicapped room. What l didn't like was the lack of a solid door. Two guests had a screaming fit in the hallway just outside my door.”

“Both of our rooms was clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely will book again next year for Marion Day.”

“The water pressure was very very low the toilet wouldn't hardly flush. I did not attempt to shower because it just dribbled even the bathroom sink was very low pressure I guess I could have said something but I did not. Possibly just that one room.”

“Super easy to find, good accommodations, fit for one or a small group. Only cons were that the futon is comfy as a couch, maybe not a bed; and the kitchen doesn't have an oven or toaster.Would absolutely book again or even look at the other properties at the site!”
