“We were disappointed we could not check in before four. They said oh you used Expedia. Not sure if we could have if we booked directly. It was $20 for early check in. We were very disappointed as we had been up since five AM the lace was empty and room was ready. But rule was 4 pm. Or $20. Nice continental breakfast but restaurant closed. Complimentary early check will be a must next booking”

“We stayed here for 2 nights. It was well balanced between rustic and modern. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the fans. I didn't cook, but it looked stocked. A fun special touch was coffee from a local business in town. I was pleasantly surprised by a tea kettle with an assortment of teas. The enclosed front porch was perfect for reading a book and the couches were cozy. I'd stay here again.”

“My husband and I spent the weekend here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and such a refreshing escape from the city. We enjoyed watching the birds, but the highlight for me was seeing the baby deer roaming around. It was magical. At night, the stars were breathtaking, and the quiet made it even more special. “Outdoor area was kept up nice! Liked the fact that there was wood provided for a fire! Had to purchase fire starter. Grill was charcoal fueled. Cabin has a cool vibe! Very clean! Furniture is comfortable. The heat didn’t flow well into bedrooms and bath. Light switches were confusing, signage for switches would be helpful. Amenity list could be updated (Keurig and coffee maker both available). It would be nice if some games were provided as well as scissors and lighter for fire/charcoal.……

“The Sanctuary is a magical place carved into nature where for a short time the weary traveler can rest their body and their soul. The deer, beavers, swans and cranes were excellent hosts. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The human hosts are also gracious and welcoming. I've stayed there twice and hope to return again. ”

“There was no a/c and it was 96 degrees outside. The only source of cooling was 2 fans provided. The curtains were sheer with other blinds so privacy was non existant. The floors and windows were updated and the couch and beds were comfortable. The appliances worked well. Very close quarters to other cabins and no parking room. The beach access was nice but not able to swim due to large rocks across the whole area. Seemed like it would be risky swimming. Overall it was an ok place to stay but……

“I took my family there several times when they were young. Always had great, positive times. This time I was by myself. Met Louie at the resort and he gave me a tour of the unit. I completely enjoyed my time there and will be going back this summer. I recommend this resort to families, couples, or if you're by yourself. You won't regret it. It's laid back, quiet, and scenic.”

“Property was welcoming to dogs but there wasn’t a way to get pre-authorization - although they requested it- even though I didn’t get that information until I checked in. There were no blankets! There was a light cover and a sheet on the bed. No blankets in the closet just one extra pillow. Also no Kleenex. Please was clean. Lovely view and nice beach frontage. Unfortunately the property owner decided to blow the leaves from the property. Then crews came to work on the property -backhoe, dump……
