It's far as amenities, there is only A soda machine and an ice machine. There are no staff members. And it's a little bit pricey, otherwise, it's very nice place.

Personally, I feel the Shelby Inn is a bait and switch. The pictures and write up of the "historic inn" make one think they are staying in some cool historic building, while the room I got was in a motel immediately behind the inn itself... The room was clean, and the location was very convenient, but I was shocked pulling up to my room and realizing I spent $152 for a night in a room in a motel in Shelbyville, Illinois...

Wooden furniture was sticky for some reason. Bed was more narrow than I expected for a double bed. Other than that the bed was comfortable. Location was very good. Everything else from the room was nice and clean. Any thing you needed was close to the property. I would recommend staying at this location.

Did not meet my expectations. It was convenient to town and the lake. The bed was good. The noise level in the room was noisy. The lighting in the room was too dim. The place is old and needs a facelift.
