“Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the oven worked well. Lots of opportunities to go on walks directly from the property too. We like to stay in beautiful places and this ticked that box! “Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. ”

“We had a lovely stay in this apartment, very clean and well equipped. We will definitely be back. It’s very well placed for visiting Hadrians Wall. We travelled by train and found the bus service more than adequate for our needs. The bus stop is outside the apartment. Also there is a range of shops and eateries. On Wednesday in the market square there was a pop up rice van selling take away food.”
