“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather……

“This property is advertised as a hotel and bistro which I would take issue with. There is a hotel and bistro sign outside but it is not a hotel and really serviced rooms and should advertised as such. Each room has a separate key lock box to check in. We were not provided with any code and had to depend on the pub next door which appears to have nothing to do with the property. “Stayed here 2 years ago & enjoyed it. Bit disappointed this time. Room tired & needs decoarating & a good clean (alot of dust) Didn't get breakfast. Waited an hour to be told the chef hadn't seen our order so gave us money to go elsewhere, unfortunately didn't have time so didn't eat until later in the day! Tbh they should re-think breakfast service as they don't seem very well prepared. Maybe look at taking orders from guests the day before? Staff are lovely though. Don't think i'd stay again……
