One desk clerk was very kind and friendly. Another, possibly middle eastern, could not speak English. Many of the doors do not close properly and the strike plates in the door jambs were missing. The floor in the stairwell in the end of the building was noticeably tilted; I suspect there is a foundation issue and some settling and cracking. This might contribute to the doors not closing properly. The bathroom light fixture in our room was about to fall apart; I did a little adjustment to make sure the glass wouldn't fall down. Also when opened the bathroom door collided with the countertop, as if the door was too big for the room. Several plumbing fixtures were connected backwards (cold water on left, hot on right). Also plumbing fixtures were loose, evident that a genuine plumber was not employed to do the work.

Great service and the staff was fabulous! Little hiccup with our toilet but they took care of it immediately. Price was reasonable especially with our stay being durning peak season.

The property itself was average however it was difficult to sleep due to the noisy refrigerator (rattling and buzzing noise) in the room. It was so loud. I reported it to the front desk the following morning at checkout.

Good place for price and location!
The room was clean and smelled good. In room fridge is huge with ice maker. Nice to be able to cook food in your room instead of spending money to eat out all the time. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, easy to drive straight down 61st street to the beach, and shopping or downtown to Strand. Only downfalls shower curtan is not waterproof and allowed water to go EVERYWHERE lol. The other downfall was that bed was no where near a queen size, but a full size mattress (I have a queen at home). But overall I would definitely stay here again!

when we were evaluating the reviews for the hotel it appears they were not true. I am getting feedback from the guys it was horrible they only sleep there for a few hours. Very dirty and team didn’t even want to take showers. They arrived at 5:00 a.m. and most guys have already left the hotel

The hotel was way over priced, the hotel smelled like mold and mildew, the door was loose, the amenities in the room were old and outdated. The front desk clerk that was checking guests in had a poor attitude.

Loud noise through the wall below my room made it difficult to sleep. No housekeeping service unless you stay 10 days or more leaving you to go to the front desk and ask for sheets, towels and all else.

The washers on site are either broken or not working. They may be free, but I’d rather go to a laundromat and be done quickly, without worrying about damage to my property. During our entire week long stay, I requested housekeeping a few times and nothing was done. I had to go get new towels from the front desk mid week.

The Candlewood Suites is a nice hotel with all the comforts of home. The added perk of having a refrigerator and microwave in the room, along with a fitness center and convenience store on property was definitely appreciated. The staff was customer-driven from start to finish—thank you for a nice stay!

They have mold in a lot of there rooms. We got extremely sick because of it. Staff told us “not their problem”

Don’t fall for the glamorous pictures!
Don’t fall for the super edited pictures! In all fairness, the hotel isn’t bad. It’s just that the pictures make it out to be waaay nicer, than it actually is. The rooms were fairly clean, but the bathroom, was not thoroughly cleaned. There was pubic hair, on the wall and ceiling. The beds were pretty comfortable, but smaller than average. It’s a average hotel, that wasn’t worth the price we paid for a holiday up charge.

There was a dead mouse in the parking lot, the restroom door was filled with dust and dirt, the sheet had a dry brown wet stain, the toilet seat looks like it was pealing, & there appears to be water issue. Every time the toilet was flushed, the bathtub would fill up with water. Extremely disappointing. For the price and online pictures, I sure did expect a lot more cleanliness.

We enjoyed our stay, and we had a small dog with us. We were impressed with the pet friendly amenities. The Front desk personnel were friendly and assisted us with the TV's that had been left from the last guest with cords in the wrong place. He had us up and running in no time. we booked 3 rooms, and all very clean and well appointed. Great location, easy to find.

The room was great! Had a full kitchen with a full fridge. The pool was cold (it’s spring so that’s expected) & still had tons of fun going from the cold pool to the awesome hot tub. Eco friendly shampoo/conditioner/body wash installed in the shower! The staff was super nice and helpful! Had zero issues from check in to check out. :) Right next to target, pet smart, dollar tree, as well as a few other businesses. Beach was about 10 min away.
