“Pros: The staff was friendly and welcoming. Air conditioning worked well. Well lit at night. Convenient with several restaurants and strip mall within walking distance. Cons: The room had stains on the bedspread and not the cleanest. From a former housekeeper it had been cleaned but needed more attention. The body wash stations were low or empty. Mattress was very firm. The continental breakfast was all carb based and could work if you wanted a quick bite to go. I would give it a 50/50……

“The hotel is in the worst part of Portland. They have no parking unless you pay an $80 valet fee. This you have to pay since there is no parking in the streets unless you want to risk parking in an area full of junkies and thieves. The Hoxton knows this, hence the ridiculous “valet fee” plus tip! I was able to park my car in a parking garage after a half hour of stress and exhaustion from my trip. Turns out that’s EXACTLY the place they park the valeted cars you pay $80 for!! RIPOFF JOINT”
