Historic building, OK if you understand this fact.

The building is a historic relic of Fort Seward (actually there are several old bldgs that make up the facility). Our room was in the main bldg. The place shows its age - it has not been updated substantially at any point from the looks of it. The room was bare-bones, although the bathroom was large with a big clawfoot tub.
The entire place, and our room, smells of age and decay. We were OK with this, given the place's age - and opening the windows helped a lot. Not a place to stay if you need to spend a lot of time in your room - there was no desk chair, and in fact no seating at all if I recall correctly.
The bar and bartender were quite good.
I actually liked this place quite a bit, it is quite charming. I'd stay again on vacation
