“Great place right in the heart of Oban. 2 minute walk to Oban Distillery. The whisky bar downstairs was really fun and convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.”

“We picked this place because it had excellent ratings. My experience was: Very difficult to unload car on an incredibly tight road. I had a heated row with a local resident who was very aggressive. The parking which was at a public viewing point was up a steep hill about 400 meters away. The bathroom was not cleaned well with unpleasant marks in the toilet, dusty bin lids etc. cobwebs and dirt on window. House was run down and very outdated. Walk into town was about 12 minutes down steep……

“A bit old and dingy and cramped, but clean. There was no info sheet in the room so difficult to find the WiFi password. Not very private and quiet as it was more like an Inn with a number of other guests in adjacent rooms that one could hear. The owner met me at the door which was a nice touch. Parking was great. Price for a quick one night stop and early morning start was about right.”

“We had room 109 and it looked out over the water and the lively street but was very quiet. The shower was amazing as were the products. The coffee and tea and snacks were delicious. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark! We didn’t get to explore the hotel at all since we were just there overnight but we would gladly stay there again if we are lucky enuf to return to Oban. What a great little town and a great hotel experience!”

“Pristine condition and everything you need for a good night’s rest.”

“Nice people. Good location. Great breakfast. Quirky look. Smallish room. All in all a good place to stay.”

“Very nice modern hotel close to the bus and ferry”

“Room was clean and comfortable, free parking. Staff is very friendly. Good breakfast.”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again”

“Really a very nice hotel in a picturesque setting. Very nice rooms, very nice and comfortable beds, clean bathroom with nice hot shower. The best part of the property are the owners, Peter and Shaley. Extremely accommodating and friendly. Cook you a wonderful breakfast. Also Peter makes the best pizzas and burgers. Overall a wonderful experience. 6 stars.would definitely come again. Thanks for your hospitality.”
