“We loved our one night stay! Upon arrival we were greeted by Margaret. She made our first impression of this cute place one that made us wished we had booked another night. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The location is absolutely perfect as we were within walking distance to almost everything you would want to explore or visit. We were approximately a 10 min walk to McCaig’s Tower, 12 min walk to pier where you can enjoy fresh seafood, 10 min walk to walk Oban Distillery and 10 min……

“The hotel is lovely, very tastefully renovated, the bedroom we stayed in (Uist) was extremely comfortable with a proper sized TV. The tea/coffee making facilities in the room were top notch. Beautiful large walk in shower in the ensuite bathroom. Everything about the hotel was done with care and attention, you felt like part of the family. Great food, breakfast and superb coffee. There are beautiful views across the loch from the hotel, you can spot wildlife in the crystal clear waters and enjoy……

“港町オーバンの便利な場所にある小さなホテルで駐車場はなかったものの、ホテルの人に「土日は路上コインパーキングが17時以降は無料」と教えてもらえた。 部屋はやや狭めで冷蔵庫なし。特に不便さは感じなかった。 宿泊料金に含まれている朝食(確か朝食無しのプランはなかったはず)の豪華さには驚いた。ビュッフェスタイルでパン、飲み物、ヨーグルト、フルーツなどを取って食べ始めたら、ウエイトレスさんがテーブルにやってきて、どのメニューがよいか？と聞く。メニュー7つほどあり、これ絶対料金だよね、と夫と話しながら値段を探すがどこにも書いていない。思い切って聞いてみたら、無料で一人一皿付いていますと。そして適当に選んで出てきたのが写真のとおり(一部食べかけですみません)食パンに卵、野菜、ハム、アボカドディップなど豪華に乗ったもので、まわりを見渡すといずれのメニューも工夫を凝らしておいしそうでヘルシー！10日間のスコットランド旅行で一番豪華でコスパのよい朝食でした。”

“Extremely convenient location to ferries, the train, and the main tourist area. Quiet hotel rooms even on the main street. Got a massage at the connected spa that was lovely. It is a seaside town and the rooms did smell a little musty but looked clean. Affiliated restaurant was fine for dinner but a little expensive for what it was; included breakfast was very nice.”

“Basic but adequate. Stair carpet needs a lot of renewal. Bath chipped and overflow broken. Staff tried to fix but no handyman over weekend”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again”
