“After driving all day touring around we arrived here to check in in the late afternoon. It turned out there was no room available for us. They were fully booked and had given our room away. The owner didn't explain why aside from "there was a miscommunication". I had booked this room through Expedia 2 months prior to our stay and had received a confirmation of stay as well as countless (automated) reminders from Expedia of our upcoming stay prior to the date. “The images that were shared in Expedia.com did not accurately portray the property and its amenities. The "gorgeous bar area" was dilapidated and out of use, there were limited food options available in the eating area, the carpeting in the hallway and rooms were very worn and not very clean. The beds themselves were clean and comfortable; the bathroom was extremely small and difficult to navigate. The first morning we were there, we lost power to all the electrical outlets in the room and in……

“The hotel is lovely, very tastefully renovated, the bedroom we stayed in (Uist) was extremely comfortable with a proper sized TV. The tea/coffee making facilities in the room were top notch. Beautiful large walk in shower in the ensuite bathroom. Everything about the hotel was done with care and attention, you felt like part of the family. Great food, breakfast and superb coffee. There are beautiful views across the loch from the hotel, you can spot wildlife in the crystal clear waters and enjoy……
