Can’t beat the dog friendly location close to the beach
There aren’t many flexible rental locations on Amelia, especially for short stays that allow dogs. I love the quaint little village made up of these cottages! It’s under the trees just like the pictures and a very tranquil spot. The location is unmatched - barely a five minute walk to the ocean. It was so easy to hit the beach every morning for a walk.
It’s also walking distance to a few restaurants/food like Sliders and Go Juice.
There’s plenty of parking and the check in/out process was easy. Our nightly rate was $144 after Christmas and before New Year’s, which was great! We were able to request attached units, which was so fun for my family to stay in both sides and hang out together. I really love the chairs on the front balcony. I also cannot emphasize enough how great it was to have our dog with us in a place that was very accommodating for pets! The pet fee was only $35 for the whole stay. Well worth it.
My only two complaints:
- The unit reeked of cigarette smoke when we checked in. The management office offered to give us a candle to make it smell better. I’m pretty sensitive to smells and it gave me a headache. It went away after leaving all windows open for many hours and lighting a bunch of candles.
- The price is really good. That being said, the furniture and buildings are VERY cheaply made (very thin walls you can hear all sound through, dressers without legs fully attached). I would not say it’s safe for young children. However, we wanted an affordable option and this was a great price especially around the holidays.
We will definitely stay here again!
