Front desk staff at check in was awesome. Housekeeping was efficient and unobtrusive. The view from my room facing the riverfront was relaxing.

It was great, big and pretty clean. It is in a sketch area so you don’t want to walk anywhere alone at night, but besides that it’s great!

Staff was great and did their best but it’s clear management is not operating this like a true hotel. There was no concierge on duty after 5pm, even though the booking says one is available 24/7. We were told there was free coffee and paid breakfast available at Common House starting at 8:30am - but they failed to mention it doesn’t open until 10am on the weekend so neither is actually an option. Again, hard working staff did a great job making up for the hotel’s shortfalls and the rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. But it was disappointing that these other issues popped up.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby area with a full bar. The staff working the front desks and the bar were very friendly. The hotel offers a $200 virtual Apple Pay/Google wallet card or bar credit if you attend a vacation presentation from their vacation package sales team which only lasts about an hour and you are not pressured to sign up for anything. The one bedroom hotel suite was pretty nice with a full open concept living room/kitchen/dining area and a good size bedroom. It looked modern and updated. Only thing I didn't like was that they do not have smart TV apps on the TVs but if you bring your own Roku or Fire stick, you can just use that. The location is great if you're looking to spend time in the French Quarter since you're basically right off the intersection of Canal St. & Bourbon St., very close walking distance to the entire French Quarter. I recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying here again next time I travel back to New Orleans.
