"This is an amazing property. The staff were all incredible, the rooms were clean and exceptionally comfortable. The location can't be beat, right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other amenities. I will stay here again when I next get to Jekyll Island. "

"The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure my wife and I had an enjoyable stay. But we had trouble with the TVs most days. They would go out and maintenance had to reboot them several times during our stay. The room above me was noisy with young kids running back and forth late nights and early morning. We complained about that and it appeared to stop. The next door neighbors heard it and complained as well. Overall I would come back again. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Reel Life cottage. The bedrooms were perfect for us (master with king separate from the other 3 bedrooms and bathroom. The living space was adequate. It was nice to have beach towels and linens. The backyard was my favorite. I sat outside every morning drinking coffee and watching the deer. The only disappointment was the bikes. There were 5 in the picture, but only 2-3 worked (one without a pedal). There was a carrier to drag kids behind the bikes, but a part was missing. We LOVED the firepit and enjoyed the house. We also enjoyed swimming at the hotel."
"We had a wonderful time staying at Anchors Away on Jekyll Island from 6/25/25-6/28/25 on our way traveling to Boone, NC and then from 7/12/25-7/15/25 on our return trip to Ft. Myers, FL. We had stayed at Anchors Away last June and we reserved our days for this past trip soon after our first time there. The house is spacious with lovely furnishings, an updated kitchen, coffee bar and wine cooler fridge. The bed in the primary suite has a comfortable mattress with high quality linens and there are new, luxurious soft and fluffy bath towels. There is a nice deck area and a fenced-in back yard that is perfect for your pups to run around. The beach access is a short 10-minute walk from the house. The days that we were there, the beach was beautiful to walk at low tide and not crowded. My husband rented a bicycle and enjoyed riding the fantastic bike path that goes along the entire perimeter of the island. It is shaded most of the way by huge, beautiful oak trees and there are no golf carts or motorized bikes or scooter permitted on the path so that makes it better (and safer) for the bikers. It was awesome to walk through the neighborhood and see the families of deer up-close as they are used to co-existing with people and dogs in the neighborhood. The property management staff were very responsive and accommodating. We have already reserved our time there for next June and July! We highly recommend a stay at Anchors Away!"

"Very well-appointed and Clean. Really appreciated the extra large refrigerator. Young adults spent a lot of evenings with the pool table. Toddlers found lots of toys to enjoy (and adults did at least one of the jigsaw puzzles). Short, one block walk to the beach. Everyone agreed it was a great place to stay. Thanks."

We enjoyed being able to use the garage to store beach equipment. The backyard was nice. The outside shower and water hose were handy for sand cleanup. The floor plan was great. "We had 11 family members (3 families) and this house was comfortable and spacious! The upstairs kitchen was used by one family for breakfast , snacking, etc. It was so much fun after a day of adventure (bike riding, beach playing, geo- cache hunting) to return to an inviting swimming pool to cool off. There were no issues (aside from a broken blender) and everything promised in this house was provided. If I were to return to JI with the family, I would rent this house again."
"This 3 bedroom was perfect for me and my two sons. It could easily fit 3x this many people. The back of the house was extended so that 2 of the bedrooms were larger (1 has 3 twins w/room to walk around). Nice updates. Kitchen was small but functional. Roof deck was a nice addition--only 1 within viewing distance. Couldn't see the beach b/c of the vegetation, but could see a nice chunk of the ocean.Will definitely stay here again. "
