The house offers endless views from the double glass doors in the living room with a panorama of the surrounding mountains. The master bedroom, has a comfy king-size bed, lets you witness both sunrise and sunset from its vantage points – a true retreat.

Experience the luxury of our deep soaking tub and a refreshing rain shower. The spacious great room is the perfect spot for cooking, dining, and relaxing. Equipped with an smart TV, and be sure to look in the cup boards to find DVDs, board games, puzzles, and cards.

A blow up queen-size mattress adds flexibility for extra guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped to make your evenings in a breeze to cook.

Soft bedding and plush towels are provided for your convenience.

Step out to the covered outdoor patio with a BBQ and dining area – perfect for enjoying crisp evening desert air. The hot tub is such a pleasure either day or night, though star gazing here is my favorite.

We are on 2 acres, you will have access to the full property. The house will be yours for the time of your booking.

While the home provides comfort, remember you're in the desert – expect bugs, and temperatures can be extreme. The location means only satellite WiFi is available, so plan accordingly.

Note that the cooling unit is an evaporative cooler rather than central air, ensuring a refreshing desert breeze. Also, I prioritize fair wages for my cleaners, and the cleaning fee you pay is just a portion – let's support living wages together!

Respect the tranquility of the neighborhood, as the residents of Joshua Tree open their homes to thousands of visitors seeking the beauty of the park and clean desert air. Keep in mind, noise travels easily in the desert, and your neighbors can hear you.

Sahara Madre is located just behind the Noah Purifory Outdoor Art Museum. The sculptures of this 10 acre museum can be seen from the living room. This neighborhood is one of my favorites. Each surrounding property is unique and artistic.

Beautiful & relaxing

This place is a gem. It was utterly and absolutely relaxing. Clean when we arrived, easy check-in, the owner was very communicative. The house is comfortable--has a great kitchen, tons of natural light, and a hot tub outside that's perfect for chilling out. We can't wait to come back!

Great place for star gazing.

This was a cute little oasis in the desert and we loved being able to enjoy the night sky out in the hot tub. We also saw a lot of wildlife outside which made our stay even more fun. The only issue we ran into was that the air vents make a loud noise when it's windy outside and we couldn't figure out what it was at first, so it was not ideal for light sleepers. But it was very windy when we were there and I don't think this would be an issue most of the time. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique stay out in Joshua Tree. We had a great time!

Meditation Paradise

Peaceful retreat conducive to relaxation, introspection, writing, and happiness. Exquisite sunrises and sunsets every single day. Full moon and star watching magnificent as you are away from town lights. Dog friendly with safe fenced in yard and enough bunnies and road runners outside to keep the dog interested... watch for coyotes, but never saw one near the house. Friendly neighbors. Just about everything one could need included. Magnificently newly remodeled bathroom with soaking tub. Next door to Noah Purifoy Assemblage Art is a huge bonus. A few things a little older and in slight insignificant disrepair than indicated in photos... but nothing critical. Comfy bed. Relaxing hot tub. Eclectic and spiritual decor. Lots of places to sit and relax outside. Do not expect good internet or TV reception because of location, that is just the way it is way up in the desert, and one is not there for that anyway. Close enough to town and the park for adventure. Lots of places to go walking with the dog right out the door.

Beautiful place in need of TLC

I have several comments on this property. The house is well appointed and in a quiet area, with dark night skies, and also close to the Joshua Tree National Park West Entrance and the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Museum. The driving directions and check-in procedure were detailed, although following these and unlocking the gate with the stiff padlocks was cumbersome in the dark. The gate lock was quite difficult to open, likely due to buildup of dust or sand. I suggest replacing these padlocks. There are switches all over with labels that were often unreadable. Some were simply unlabeled. I suggest replacing these or making them easier to understand. There were also numerous keys to unlock parts of the house, such as the washer/dryer area, where we resorted to trial and error. The bathroom sink had quite a lot of hair clogging it, although it still didn't drain when we pulled it out. The property owner dropped off some Drano which we applied to the sink twice to get it to drain. If you would watch Roku live TV, it would buffer or change channels abruptly. We didn't watch much TV; when we did it would pause or spontaneously change from CBS Los Angeles to Boston or New York. Some dishes had food residue, and the coffee maker needed to be cleaned. We messaged the property owner directly about other issues we encountered during our stay. l think the property owner should have taken the time to review more carefully before we arrived. We were mostly in the Park during the day, although we had to do a lot of work during our time in the house.

Remote oasis in comfort

Driving up the drive our first impression was arriving at a small mission. Once inside, the rooms were large and well appointed. Lots of lighting and outlets and several places to sit both inside and out. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything was functional. The hot tub was such a bonus.

Such a cool little house that doesn’t feel little at all…the great room is huge and the bedroom is really spacious and comfy. we loved the hot tub AND the soaking tub and our dog loved running around on the fenced acre lot. If you like art or culture there’s a really cool outdoor…gallery? Exhibit? I’m not sure how to classify it but it’s a short walk away. A perfect little break for me, my husband and our pup.

Lovely Quiet Stay in Joshua tree

We had a lovely quiet stay in Joshua Tree. The description and pictures on VRBO were spot on. The interior is very lovely and pleasant, the location is very quiet with good views and the giant bathtub is awesome. Highly recommended.

Perseids Meteor shower put on a show

The property is off the beaten path which is perfect for watching the meteor shower. Sati is an excellent host and very responsive to all requests. The property is fenced off and feels very safe. No neighbors are adjacent to the property giving plenty of privacy. The House is a very cute Spanish Mission style home. Very clean and stocked with essentials. We would love to stay here again the next time we visit JT. Thank you Sati for opening your home to us.

Joshua Tree Getaway

Lovely stay! The hot tub under the stars is the gem of this location! Very clean, spacious, huge bed and bathtub. And seriously, the hot tub is perfect. All dishes and utensils match and are clean — love this rather than the mismatched sets you sometimes find. Very flexible with check in process —allowed us an early check in which was a game changer for us. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful quite and Comfy

I recently stayed at Sahara Madre with my daughter, mother and pup. We came for the weekend to watch the meteor shower. At first we were a little worried how far away from the city we were but it worked in our favor! We were able to view the Meteor shower in the gated front yard instead of sit in traffic at Joshua tree national park! The inside is so pretty, I wish we would have made time to use the jacuzzi but it was just too hot… great communication with the owner. I highly recommend for a peaceful getaway…

Cool Spanish style house. Great remodeled bathroom. Just a bit dusty around the edges. But it is JT after all. Outside couch was moldy underneath. Torn shade cloths. Jacuzzi top was shabby. But all in all a great stay. Thank you.
