“Mutiara is not a typical beach resort—it’s a true eco-resort designed with tradition and sustainability in mind. It’s also actively run by the long-time owner—no corporate chains here. The most important things to be prepared for: no AC and no hot water. You sleep in lovely teak and rattan cottages with mosquito nets and plenty of fans. Which means this is a chance to experience what SE Asia was like 40-50 years ago (and of course the same way lots of locals live today). The food is terrific,……
