Personally I really liked the place. However, we booked and were confirmed a beach front place. It was not beachfront. It was parking lot and the basketball hoop area.

I am disappointed with Management my debit card was charged twice for the stay and I have not received my money back on my debit card yet! It was a terrible experience I doubt if I will ever stay there again. I never want to experience this again.

Not bad price, but poor views and uncomfortable

We had an ocean/beachfront room. We were located on the 1st floor and could only see a trash littered dune from our room. There was no view of the water or the beach, unless you consider a wall of sand, trash, and vines a beach view. The bed was hard as a rock. The lumpy pull out bed was slightly better, but there was no where comfortable to sleep. The floor was so sloped inside the room near that the front door that is was easy to lose your balance walking across the room. Definitely would not recommend for an older guest. If you have the blinds open to look out the window at the sand pile, then everyone waking by can see into your room. There are no private views of the beach. Housekeeping will enter your room in the morning of checkout before checkout time. They walked in on us naked trying to get ready. There was trash under the bed and under the couch there was a clump of hair and some potato chips. We have stayed here before, but will not be returning.

The resort looks great- nice location, pools, and big rooms- but the management is a disaster. We booked 4 nights through Expedia and got a call the next day saying we’d have to switch rooms halfway through. Annoying, but we adjusted. When we arrived at 5:15pm the front desk was already closed and security checked us in. He tried to charge me $400 instead of $49 and knew nothing about our room switch. The next day, I stopped by the office to talk to an actual receptionist and the front desk confirmed we had to move the next day before noon but not an exact time. We packed early and sat around waiting for a call, but housekeeping showed up at 11:15 saying we should already be out. She didn’t know anything either and after multiple calls told us the room was “almost ready.” We ended up stuck outside in the heat with all our stuff, including groceries, until after 1 pm. I asked for a manager, but no one ever came. All we got was late keys, excuses, and a cup of stale popcorn. The resort itself is fine, but the staff and management have zero communication. If they tell you you’ll have to switch rooms, cancel your stay. It’s not worth the hassle.

Our first trip to the outer banks was made that much more enjoy finding this gems of place to stay in KDH. Clean, well run, and courteous staff added to the very comfortable bed and the community feeling of this property, will now be on our list for next summer. You can’t go wrong!

Wish the beds were more comfortable- overall happy with our experience. Also our unit did not have a Wi-Fi password anywhere so we had to call security to come get it to us. I wish that was a little bit more convenient.

The restaurants and grocery store were nearby making it convenient to get to. Our unit was very clean and spacious. Hope to visit again but will book directly with property so we know which unit we will be in. We were directly in front of the hot tub and could hear conversations pretty late into the night

Great place, condo very clean, furniture, paint, carpet was excellent. Kitchen well equipped. Towels, linens, available at no extra cost. Really great place. Beach one min walk, many restaurants walking distance. One our best place to stay in.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It's an older resort, but the units are modernized, clean and maintained. The bed was comfy. We had brand new sofas in the living room. Live how beautiful the beach is in North Carolina.

Good condo

Loved having a condo instead of a hotel room. It was much more relaxing for our short vacation. Great pools and amenities, but mostly we enjoyed relaxing in the spacious condo!

when I booked this, I thought I was gonna be in the cool round buildings, but I was across the street which was fine. The place has a weird layout like you walk in and there is the living room. I did have a few issues with my key wouldn’t work it was hard to get in the door would stick and I had to get security to help me in.. Then the elevator broke so when I checked out, it was multiple trips down that I wasn’t planning on and the worst part was whoever was staying above me was incredibly loud and must’ve walked all day and all night because I could hear them I wonder if they if they had a dog or a kid because I could hear little steps running back-and-forth back-and-forth half the day and at night. I wasn’t also made aware of that on Saturday my stay right outside my door was gonna be a band playing in a craft fair. I was on my way out the door to go do something when I found this out so I missed most of it, but I would not have enjoyed having a band playing that close to my room without being made aware of it in advance. I give this place a three I might book it again, but if I do, I might insist on the top floor just because I didn’t get a lot of sleep with the noise of the people walking above me.
