“Beautiful room above the pub.. have stayed in some not so nice pub stays before and this was wonderful!!! Nice walkable town, food was great in the pub and breakfast lounge. Friendly staff from check in to check out.”

“A very nice little hotel with tidy clean room with lots of little touches such as coffees, teas biscuits etc. Excellent evening meal at reasonable cost. Good breakfast with good choice. Friendly service and nice decor in dining room. Good location just off the A75 road.”

“Old elegant hotel. Yes a bit worn in places but spotlessly clean. Food fantastic. Views and grounds are spectacular. Very dog friendly. Rooms spacious and warm Pool good. No spa. Golf right on your doorstep. Staff helpful. Annie at reception especially so. Lovely walks and close to beaches and cute towns. Lacked atmosphere in the dining room and bar areas. All in all great value for money and a restful few days. Planning to return.”

“Friendly staff but a bit slapdash at breakfast, rooms comfortable but south facing rooms need a portable aircon unit when warmer outside as the room was stiflingly hot despite window open and fan on. Excellent food which we could not fault for two nights dinner.”

“Aberdour is a lovely little old gem in an idyllic neighborhood, close to the train station. It’s run by the inimitable Amanda, who is the best host I’ve ever met. The place is older, and a bit frayed- but in the way the Velveteen Rabbit is frayed. It’s a lovely old place, simple, clean and cared for, and I was immediately made to feel that I was also cared for. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom’s not fancy but absolutely serviceable, with good hot water in the shower. The breakfast is……
