Although it is old this is still a Grand Hotel. Great deals available on dining, drinks and later checkout. Royal Albert Dock is a 20 minute walk and everything else is closer. (Cavern, Lime Street station etc). We will definitely use it again.

Had a fantastic 2 night stay in this beautiful iconic hotel. My room was so spacious and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely book again next time I'm in Liverpool.

I thought the hotel was excellent if a little tired. Attention to detail should be elevated. Small things such as toilet paper holder missing spindle, hand towels only no bath towels or the black mold on though excellent shower head.

The interior of the shared areas of the hotel are really old fashioned but in a good way. Huge high ceiling lounge area to enjoy during the day and many huge function rooms. Wandering around the hotel is like going back in time. This is also however true for the rooms but they are a mish-mash of 1980’s and 1990’s fixtures and fittings which really need updating. For the cost of the room though to have a place to sleep it was good value. But given how nice the shared areas of the hotel are it was such a shame to see the bedrooms in the state they are. I would happily stay again for the ambience of the main hotel and the history but I would prefer to pay more for a nicer more modern room.

Hotel is situated in the centre of liverpool which unfortunately is the only good thing about it! Although staff were helpful and polite the hotel itself is in need of a makeover and the rooms were small and unkempt. Its ok if you were just looking for digs to get your head down after a gig or something like we were unfortunately i dont think we would return!

Cleary, the Hotel needs a massive revamp. I thought of knew what I was getting into ( Price and Reviews). The staff I came across were polite enough. My room had clean bedding, but that's about all. Quite an imposing building, just a shame its looking so tired.
