“Stayed for weekend for a local wedding on the hotel section. Room looked to be recently renovated and very clean. Staff, location and pics were all top notch!”

“clear room, good balcony. My only complain was that there is some kind of repair shop next to it, and you may start hearing noises around 8:00 am. Only if you plan to wake up late.”

“We love our bartendress Jill!!”

“As it turned out, my wife and I were unable to stay at the Captain's Cottage due to a severe weather front that was going through that part of New Jersey when we were scheduled to stay there. “No hot water. No breakfast included. No near (walkable) restaurants/ shopping.”

“beautiful space, clean, nice location.”

“Rooms were clean but dated. Had an issue with shower and sink. The room phone didn’t work and staff stated they had several rooms like that and had no intention of fixing because people have cell phones”

“We were in room 105. There was visible evidence of water flooding under the ac unit. The carpeting in the hall outside of our room smelled musty. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However the couch was heavily stained and appeared to have been in service way too long. It was also very uncomfortable.”

“Joe (owner?) was extremely cordial and accommodating. I'd expect the rooms to be a little cheaper than they were in the off season but our stay was pleasant.”

“The location is great. We are not motel guest, we normally stay at a hotel. This was different for us. The rooms are comfortable but really outdated. I was not happy with one thing... the towels they had a hue of yellow which makes me think there not clean other than that it was ok.”

“Well priced for the value. A bit noisy though”
