“Dominic is a wonderful, friendly host. Nabitunich a great rate for a tranquil place to stay. We were upgraded to a nicer, bigger room since there was a cancellation, so we truly appreciate that! Being able to eat dinner on site and the home cooked breakfasts are plus as well.”

“Monkey Falls was set in a lovely location right in the jungle. It was quiet and relaxing. We were shown around Rod’s farm which was very interesting. The kitchen makes lovely home made food, including breakfast, which we ate every day. Tours can easily be booked from there and they will pick you up. It’s a short taxi ride from town. All in all a nice place to stay if you want to relax and you like jungle and wildlife.”

“Pine Ridge Lodge is a magical jungle retreat that created unforgettable memories for our family of four. The setting is serene and beautiful, with a small number of friendly animals that added to the charm without being overwhelming. Penomi, the front host, was always warm and welcoming, offering us thoughtful recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. “Love the lodge feel and extremely kind and helpful staff. Our family stayed for three nights. Since driving the last mile was a little challenging, we opted to have dinners every night at the Lodge. Great service and wonderful food, but a bit on the pricier side compared to eating in town. We did the ATM excursion through the lodge. Xuanantunich was so close, we opted to drive via our rental and hired a private guide for $50 on-site. We did tubing on-site which was a flat 30-minute walk about……

“Ka’ana Resort was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to San Ignacio. The moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs who accidentally wandered into luxury. The property is stunning. Lush gardens, peaceful paths, and a pool that practically begs you to forget whatever plans you had for the day. Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. I’m still not sure how the bed was that soft, but I’ve accepted that my mattress at home will never live up to it. The food and drinks……

“Amazing place, we loved it, kids had a blast. Pictures don't do it justice at all. Carlos, the security guard went above and beyond to make us feel good, i needed some extra coffee after hours and he provided his personal coffee. I offered to pay for it and felt embarrassed as he rejected it, it was just a warm gesture that was not done for a tip, was just because he was such a nice guy being nice on a regular day. We were there with grandma and kids age 4-14. Kids were free and safe all day on……

“Located in the pine ridge reserve over looking waterfall, the view is stunning. Private waterfall natural pool lounging area is available to the guests. Room is cozy and comfortable, smaller than expected. Complimentary breakfast is great since there are only two high-end restaurants within 25 minutes drive. It is expensive to dine in the hotel. Landscape and the surrounding nature is beautiful. It is close to Big Rock waterfall. There is no AC in the room, but we didn’t feel hot as the mountain……

“I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.”
