“Cohune Palms is just what we were hoping for. The property is really lovingly maintained. The staff are really warm and accommodating- Ms. Nellie's cooking was just perfect after long days of tours! The cabins are not posh but not supposed to be- and it was HOT in there, we ended up asking for additional fans in the evening- but they were clean, and had everything we needed. “Trip was planned for my wife’s 35 bday with extremely short notice. Hadas was absolutely amazing! She assisted me with scheduling multiple events every day of our stay. It’s not often you find someone who authentically cares what their guests think, how their stay was and the time they spent inside the facility. It was as if everyone that guided us on our journey knew of Hadas and her beautiful family! I’ve never been to any other place where I felt welcome and at home as much as I did there,……

“Great location near the market”

“Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge……

“I originally had some hesitation after reading older reviews, but I’m so glad we went ahead with this stay. The host has clearly listened to feedback and made amazing upgrades. Now all the bedrooms have air conditioning, which made a huge difference—everyone slept comfortably even in the summer heat. They also added a water heater, so we enjoyed nice hot showers whenever we wanted, and we had absolutely no issues with the toilets during our stay.Overall, this home far exceeded our expectations.……

“We stayed at Villa Massis March 22nd till the 27th. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and we can say that the folks at the Villa, our host, Larry, Chef Melanie, and darling little Lucy made this the most epic anniversary of all time for us.
