“Comfy hotel - good for biz travel”

“Acceptable. The hotel is located at the edge of a residential area and a bustling district, making it fairly convenient. The staff were warm and attentive, and the place had a nostalgic charm. My room had the bed facing an entire wall of windows, which directly overlooked another hotel across the street. For those who value privacy, I recommend checking the room details with the staff beforehand or asking on-site if a room change is possible (which I should have done).”

“The room, while a little dated, was very clean and comfortable. It had the amenities we were looking for and was within walking distance of the cable car, Te Papa, Cuba street and the Oriental bay areas. In addition, our arrival was delayed until about 10 pm, 2 hours past the time the reception desk is staffed. Within minutes of me informing them by phone that we would be late they sent me the information for late check-in which was a very easy process and did not delay us reaching our room.”

“Called the night before arr to book a car park..the night manager said that he penciled me down for the last car park (20 nzd per night). Arr the next day, after 4 hours of driving.. the receptionist said the car park was fully booked and my name wasn't on the list. Was not happy abt this experience at all.. There were little pieces of rubbish on the bathroom floor when we enter the room. However, the breakfast was good.”

“Tidy room, super handy to things like supermarket, mall etc. The team were lovely. Shower was a little luke warm, but that was sorted. The restaurant was good! Great burger 🍔 ”

“just 5 min walk to airport, which is very convenient to us as we are catching a very early flight. Room is sizable and clean, unlucky not enough time to try the facilities ”

“A wonderful mid 20th century renovated corner store with well appointed rooms, some over looking the sea, and nearby Mana Island. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, but what I loved most was the quaint shared facilities. I find travelling can become so impersonal, being in a situation where we were interacting with other guests was lovely, especially in the farmhouse style kitchen, mid 20th century dining room (with a 21st century large TV, and the rustic lounge room over……
