Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. The location can’t be beat. The room was charming and clean. This is definitely a winter location. We were there during a heat wave and let me just say, the room was hot and the hallways were even hotter. I asked for a box fan that took several hours and four phone calls to the front desk before it was delivered to my room.

The resort is really nice and the 2 bed room with kitchen we stayed in was comfortable and had all the essentials like trays to bake, pans and pots to cook, big refrigerator TVs in all rooms nice a clean bathrooms and a nice balcony with amazing views of the mountains. The only negative is that there is no Air Conditioner and the portable fans they provide are noisy and couldn’t keep them on while sleeping making it a bit uncomfortable when the day started to warm up around 6am. The pool and jacuzzi was nice too.

We had high hopes. But the pools were small and not overly clean. All but two of the deck chairs were torn and not usable. But it is flatly immoral to charge a family $300 a night in the middle of a summer heat wave when you have no air conditioning in your rooms. It's 2024. I don't care if you're at 8,000 feet elevation and don't typically need it. Summers are still hot. So either discount the rooms tremendously during those times, or make patrons well aware that they will swelter. The room wasn't tolerable during the day, and even at night, we couldn't sleep through the sweat. Miserable experience.

The hotel overall was great. I believe that the room description on Expedia is incorrect. I was under the impression that all rooms have ceiling fans. We actually had to ask for a fan which became available the second night of our stay. I also believed I had booked a room with a king bed but instead we got a queen if it actually was queen bed.

It was a nice place however there weren’t any dining options in or near the hotel. You had to drive into town to eat. The portable fans did nothing to cool the place. There is NO A/C for anyone reading this. The heat was unbearable. The pots and pans need to be replaced. The food kept getting stuck which ruined my meal plans. The TVs are outdated, too small, and not loud enough to enjoy. There aren’t very many things to do nearby. Just like we had to drive into town for dining we had to drive out into town to get to where there was entertainment. The twin beds were uncomfortable for my kids you can feel the springs of the mattress when you lay down. They didn’t get to the rest they needed.

The resort have no AC and fan was feeble . We were on the 5th floor and it was very hot we could not sleep . Next day we were moved to 2nd floor , and we were given fan and have to keep windows open to sleep.

This comment is irrelevant if you are going there in the winter. My proposal is they should shut down the resort in Summer months. We went in July when it was 100 degrees. And this must be the first Resort i have ever been that does not have air conditioning. They are not set up for cooling air, only offer heating option. We could have gotten a hotel room for much cheaper with A/C. Upon checking with the front desk their advice was to keep the windows open at night as it gets cooler at night. We were traveling with kids. The little one couldn't fall asleep because it was uncomfortably hot and the older couldn't fall asleep because she was terrified to leave the window open. What kind of a hotel suggest to keep the windows open throughout the night to regulate the air inside a room. We paid high dollar for this resort and received well below average satisfaction. I have never had to check if AC is available from any other hotel I stayed. It should be standard, specially because of the dangerous heat during summer months (100 degrees). Inquire about AC before you reserve a room here.
