What a delightful stay from start to finish. We’ve stayed in a few places during our travels over the past couple of weeks and the Oakhill Hotel outshines them all. We received an exceptional welcome by the staff and their professionalism and friendliness was consistent throughout our stay. The rooms are well maintained, tastefully decorated and recently renovated by the looks of it. The breakfast was lovely and they catered for Gluten Free, which can be a worry when staying away. Overall a wonderful stay and we would recommend a stay.

What beautiful property this is the grounds are very lovely and peaceful with gardens that are very well maintained, the rooms are just perfect, comfortable, clean cozy, the staff are brilliant helpful warm and nothing is too much for them. Would highly recommend staying and the restaurant is just brilliant great menu without the massive price tag food and choices are great. The breakfast is also fantastic and included in the room price.

This charming hotel is pretty much perfect in every way from location to the friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, food, hotel gardens and cleanliness. Good selection of breakfast, however, an option of croissant/pastries may be worth considering. We stayed in a cosy double room. Whilst the room was exceptionally clean with towels/bedding changed on a daily basis, complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits topped up daily too, we did find the room very warm and stuffy. Other than that, a very charming room and perfect for a short stay. We have booked another trip to return to this hotel in September 2027 :-)

A very well maintained period property. The stay was great and the friendly staff very accommodating, particularly as we used it as an overnight stop to cycle the White Peak Loop. They let us lock the bikes in an outhouse and totally understood our needs. Would recommend and may well return, next time with my wife for a treat!

On our arrival we were met by the delightful owner who made us feel very welcome. She was also a source of information which proved extremely beneficial. Our room was part of the converted stable block which was fine apart from the small windows which made the room dark and claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer then I would of asked to be moved. The bathroom was impressive which consisted of both shower and slipper bath. Food good served by young staff who looked after all our needs really efficiently. Definitely call again if we should be in the area…….. thank you all.
