The place is older in terms of furniture and amenities, but is properly cleaned every day, and room maid was going out her way to provide us with anything we needed during our stay. "Had a great time at Afissos Blu Hotel. The location is perfect, right by the sea. Just down the street are a number of tavernas and shops. The little village is quiet and picturesque, ideal for a relaxing vacation. The highlight of our stay was our host. She was extremely helpful and accommodating! We were gifted a jar of homemade honey before we left and felt right at home during our stay. Highly recommended! 5 stars!"

"Stayed two nights june 24-26, we enjoyed this place and would stay again. Its a bit out of the way and a car is required although there are regular bus stops at the front gate. Had a well manicured garden and nice pool. A rocky beach is about a 3 minute walk. The room was clean, had all the amenities we expected and the bed was comfortable. They have two breakfasts, a light continental and a buffet. The continental was enough for us."

"Pool was closed, even the water fountain was turned off. Our bathroom door handle was broken. The bed was uncomfortable, they only gave us one pillow each so we needed two more which they did provide. The headboard was very uncomfortable. The shower was one you had to hold to use as they didn't have a fixture on the wall. Only hand soap, no shampoos or shower gel provided. No breakfast. We asked to leave our bag before we checked in and they told us to leave it behind the sofa in the lobby,...

"Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town."

"A fantastic hotel all round. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Great location…close enough to the town (short bus ride away) to be convenient but far enough away to be nice, quiet and relaxing. There’s a few restaurants within walking distance, as is a supermarket and a lovely beach. The entire staff are a really great team that go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. I’ve done a fair amount of travelling over the years and don’t think I’ve ever been to a place with so many returning guests year after year…and I will definitely be one too!"
