The King suite had a great view. The surrounding area is very nice. As for the hotel, you must ask if you want your room cleaned/fresh linens. Even once we asked our room was never serviced in the 5 days we were there. Wasn’t terrible, wasn’t great- likely would choose another hotel next visit.

Check in was late. When I got in the room, the sheets were clean but that is about it. The floor was disgusting. When I called the desk, they sent a guy up that came in and swept a little bit. If you needed something like towels, you had to go to the desk and get it. They didn’t bring it to you. On the second day, I asked if someone would come in the room and said the floor was pretty nasty. She said they don’t usually but asked if I wanted someone to come. I would think she would have said something like, “I’m sorry your room isn’t up to par, but we will get someone in there asap.” That said, the location is excellent and they had good coffee. But overall I expected more for what I paid.

Great views of the waterway from the top floor (and you can see the ocean in the distance); staff was very welcoming and friendly; king swater view suite was essentially a 1BR condo; breakfast was delivered to the room each morning and there were cookies in the afternoons for a treat; walking distance to restaurants and bars; there is some road construction going on nearby, but in summer, you're out of the room most of the day anyway (but you could feel it shake the building as they worked on the new street accesses); HVAC air handler is inside the bedroom in this unit, which is pretty loud and it ran all day due to summer temps, so it was more of a white noise thing that helped me sleep. Wasn't aware their was a daily charge for parking until check-in as well as a daily fee for having a room safe (which I didn't use at all). I would stay at Bask again due to location on the waterway and a quick 8-10 min drive from Fort Macon's beach access.

This place is everything you look for while staying away from home - with one exception - you are given a choice for breakfast which is brought to your room in the morning - the breakfast was very disappointing - I was extremely surprised as to how all other things were actually perfect and that one thing could be so bad. Holiday Inn serves better breakfast. They need to correct that and then it would be a perfect place to stay

The hotel was modern but surrounded by building works. Also our room was quite dirty, carpet need a thorough clean. Stuff in freezer from previous people. You order breakfast from the night before, 2nd morning no boiled eggs?? But no replacement item??

Dawn was at the front desk for our check in & checkout. And, she was the most pleasant, courteous, professional, delight...to come face to face with at the Bask Hotel. In spite of the construction and the unfinished landscape, the hotel was quiet and eloquent. This was my daughter and I first quality time vacation. We can't wait to go back!! Our balcony room was perfect to view the fireworks. The cost was reasonably worth it. Especially, since it was a holiday weekend.

Needs a pool or hot tub it’s boring. There really was nothing to do there. Also there was a lot of construction around that killed the mood. There were no movie channels which was a bummer. The breakfast wasn’t even worth ordering even though free. There was hardly any food on the breakfast sandwich. Staff was very pleasant loved the rooms very spacious which was a very big plus

The room was advertised as being bigger and including a kitchen. We ended up in the new wing, which was completely different (small, no kitchen). There was no ventilation nor a fan in the bedroom, so the air was warm and stale. We also did not receive drinks with our breakfast even though I was told they’d be sent to our room. The hotel itself is beautiful, but we’ll request a room in the “old” wing if we stay there again.
