"Corner king with kitchen room was excellent. Beautiful view of the city, very clean, extremely comfortable bed, very roomy, coffee maker and coffee provided. Great quality ropes provided for our use. Very good bottle of wine per stay provided plus wine tasting every day from 5-6 pm at the beautiful lobby area. Wonderful staff, easy accessible paid parking. However, it is very unfortunate the area around the hotel didn't feel too safe. But the hotel was perfect."

"I won’t be staying here again. The original room I was assigned was in a dark hallway in a first floor corner of the hotel, no other rooms nearby. The room was dark but tidy, the window was cracked and the window frame had signs of being pried on, it was broken. The ground floor access to this room from the outside was unacceptable to me. I went back to the front desk and said the room was unsafe, the staff were great and understanding and moved me to a 3rd floor room, which suited my needs. During the evening the fire alarm sounded and most people exited the premises. After being outside for a short time the alarms stopped and guests headed back to the rooms, no explanation from staff, no clarification if there was a fire…… The coffee machine in my room didn’t work, and the coffee I bought at the front desk was like warm, extremely disappointing! The room smelled, bad, and I asked one of the housekeepers for some spray, which she supplied to me. This helped somewhat. I’ve never written a review like this. I stay in Portland, in the airport area, frequently as my son and family live near by. This is my first review that is so negative that I won’t be returning to this hotel again. The one great thing about the hotel is the staff, who were respectful, helpful and allowed me to rate this stay at 1-2 star."
