Very Comfortable and Cozy

The house is decorated beautifully and is very comfortable. Proximity to the beach is fantastic and the neighborhood is quiet. We will be back next summer. Our dog loved it, too.

Nice Beach House

Very cozy, small and clean beach house. Only few steps from the private beach. We liked this privacy. We have a family dog traveling with us and it was very nice that dogs are allowed on the beach as well.

Great Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the OBX. The location of this house was perfect for lots of beach time with little people. A few items to note for improvement: House was not super clean upon arrival. A grill provided would be appreciated. The outdoor shower....wellll a path through the sand with a sand floor leaves a lot to be desired. But overall, it was fine and would recommend the stay due to the location.

One of the cleanest

This property is probably the cleanest we have ever stayed in. It’s old and nothing is really updated but it was clean and easy walk to the beach. Carolina shores has some of the best guest services you can ask for. They explain everything at the key pickup. I would bring a pan to cook in but otherwise you need nothing. We made this a favorite for future visits. Don’t hesitate booking this one. It’s worth it.

Great location but.......

We enjoyed ourselves but the house needs to be updated. There was only 1 frying pan and 1 or 2 pots to cook in. The dishes and organization of utensils were not good. The deck and outside amenity of a shower was not usable due to landscaping. Very poorly taken care of.

Great Location but the House needs some TLC

Pictures must be from years ago. Also it says you have ocean views but you cannot see over the dunes. It is a very short walk to the beach from the house so it was not a big deal to us. The house is in need of some TLC. That being said we enjoyed our stay. Everything worked as it should. It just needs some updates.

We arrived August 13th,, The pictures we reviewed online Certainly did not show the property in its present condition, Hand railing is loose and very splintery , Sand has Encroached the property That you are unable to safely utilize the outside shower, Stepping in-and-out of the house with such a tall step makes it very unsafe ,, The master bedroom Had stained sheets we were glad we had Brought all our own bedding, Kitchen amenities could be much better, The air conditioning Filter Was so clogged With dust and debris that a maintenance person had to come and replace it, I certainly cannot figure out some of the other reviews I read online before coming to this home for the 1st time at nag's head outer banks,, No ocean view untill you walk to the beach, The property is crying for help,,, The bottom line is the owner of the property it's just cashing in and not reinvesting,, Next year I will have the agent take up to date pictures before We Reserve a home,,,

Easy Living

Parker is a perfect, old-school Nags Head cottage. With everything you need for a REAL vacation. Check-in was simple; staff is professional, patient, and friendly. Great views of sun/moon rising and setting from the screened front porch. Perfect!

Great location!

Everything was great. We loved being so close to the beach. I did not see oceanviews because the dunes are so high but it was still great. Also, the outside shower does not have a floor so you are standing in sand while showering but there is a hose right outside to rinse your feet.

Close to Beach

It was real nice being so close to the beach. It does need to be painted on garage door and in the screen porch. TV needs to be updated. Not much to watch. We may stay there again.

Pictures are misleading ! Don’t stay here!!!!

The pictures taken from the front of the house lead you to believe the beach is right behind you. Behind the house are grassy covered dunes. The garage door is rusted all over and the porches and decking are severely splintered and unattached. Not safe. The inside of the screened in porch has plastic chairs and table all old and dirty. The walls have rusty spots all over. The vertical blinds on the sliding doors are missing several slats. Security bar is missing so they give you a 1x4. Kitchen has old pots and pans- bring lots of nonstick spray or oil. Utensils are for nonstick pans - no sense there. Bathrooms smell like urine - like a portable commode in a park. Bathroom missing a medicine cabinet door. Smoke detector is not operational! Living room porch light was out and soldered shut with sand. We got it apart and replaced the bulb . Coffee pot leaks all over the kitchen counter- pour in 12 cups of water and get 4 cups of coffee. Beds are beyond awful. Box springs are literally coming apart. Queen and double beds are so old- smashed down and uncomfortable. Rental company, Carolina Shores, could care less when we emailed about lots of these things. Being semi close to the beach was the only perk. This place is duty, carpet is dirty, and not maintained at all. It’s embarrassing to even drive up to.

Beach access

My family and I loved that we could walk out our door and to the beach in a few minutes time. The dogs loved playing on the beach and the neighbors that live there were amazing.

Just what we were looking for.

We were looking for a cottage that would sleep 6 during peak times and was not much larger than that, but was near the beach. When we arrived we were very pleased with the interior of the house. Every detail seemed to be in place for a wonderful stay. We had family gathering from multiple places.

Furbaby vacation

Our experience was great! The location was perfect! The house is a little outdated but served its purpose well!! There are a few things that could’ve use repair. We were asked to sweep and vacuum upon exit. The broom was very worn and couldn’t be used and the vacuum wouldn’t pick up anything from the carpet. There was broken tile at the entry way and several lights that were blown. There was also a busted rusted light in the screened area on the porch. Several repairs needed. Would we stay there again?! Sure! The location was great! It was so quiet and the crowds were non existent which gave our furbabies the vacation of a lifetime! First vacation for them at the beach! I love Nags Head and will definitely return
