"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."

"So pleased we stayed a at Woodlawn! - it’s a beautiful peaceful small resort set in lovely grounds and surroundings, the pool is gorgeous and we had it to ourselves most mornings! staff are fantastic and sunny was very helpful- picked us up and dropped us back to ferry which was great. Deluxe rooms are lovely with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are lots of places to eat and drink around (within 5-10mins walk)so not sure why previous reviews say it’s away from everything- it’s not!!) beautiful chalok bay is 10mins away and easy to reach other beaches too- much preferred this area to Sairee which was very busy and more commercialised. What a fantastic place."
