This hotel is spectacularly overrated, and below the standard set by other W hotels I've visited. The fixtures are outdated and degenerating, the in-room amenities are sparse, and the hotel amenities - aside from the gym, which is decent - are illusory.
Pro: the beds are comfortable, gym is ok, location is great if you want to be in the middle of Times Square, staff is professional and helpful
Con: In-room device connectors are circa 1998, the towels are so thin and threadbare you can watch tv through them, single-use plastic is everywhere, Expedia listing says breakfast is available; it's not - there's no food here, no on-site shop for snacks or sundries either
The moody colored lighting in the lobby doesn't make this a 4-star experience.
