Your home away from home is centrally located in Midcoastal Maine and close to many activities and attractions. As you enter the cottage, the “Welcome Foyer” will provide you with all the local information for dining, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, river cruises, beaches, historic landmarks, local breweries and wineries. Your stay will be filled with as much fun and relaxation as you choose! On the main floor, there are 2 comfortable sitting areas. One has a wood stove and another a TV. There is also a ½ bath. As you walk into the well equipped kitchen, there is a welcoming island and off of that is a dining table that seats 6. On the 2nd floor, there are 3 comfortable size bedrooms, a laundry closet and bathroom. Outside, there is a deck and BBQ grill. There are multiple sitting areas outside to enjoy at any time of the day. All guest will get their own personal code for a keyless lock for a seamless check in! Other things to note: Only a 12 minute drive is the quintessential New England coastal village, Damariscotta, the “Napa of Oysters”. The main street is lined with cafés and restaurants that feature the finest quality oysters as well as farm-to-table and sea-to-table cuisine. Only a 13 minute drive is the quaint town of Wiscasset. Known for the “Best Lobster Roll in Maine” at 2 locations! Red’s Eats and Spraugues Lobsters. Boothbay Harbor is another town worth visiting. Whether you like to relax on a sandy beach or take a boat tour in the surrounding coastal waters, you are only a leisurely 30 minute drive away. Augusta, the capital city of Maine, is only 40 minutes away. Step into Maine’s history as well as enjoy Viles Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Anywhere you turn there is fun and adventure close by. Do you like to hike? There are an abundance of hiking trails to choose from. Salt Bay Heritage Trail, Dodge Point Preserves, or Bass Falls Preserves, just to name a few that are all near the cottage. The Sheepscott River is only a 10 minute walk with the opportunity to rent Kayaks along the river during your stay. A nice day trip would be to take a 30 minute drive to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and then head to Pemaquid Beach to have a lovely lunch at The Contented Sole.
