Overcharging & incorrect debit transactions

Stay was business trip. Paid in advance via Hotels.com. Presented debit card as requested at check in. Extras totalled £10.50, which were paid. Hotel took an additional £102, plus then had further circa £94 pending debiting my bank account. I have contacted hotel & they advise an error. Now awaiting refund of £102 plus cancellation of the pending £94. Not happy.

A new one for the ‘Definitely to RETURN list!

I thought this was a brilliant hotel - it’s a bit tucked out of the way but right on M1/A45 so for travel the location is brilliant. I booked in same day I stayed. I got a wellness gift room and got a lovely set of beautiful smellies - bath bombs, facial serum, room fragrance - well worth the extra £. Room so comfortable. Food was equally delicious and well thought menu.

Restaurant is awful - management do not listen

Evening meal that was booked as my company Christmas meal. Booked for 7pm. Restaurant was freezing cold - had to ask for some heating and air con to be turned off. There was no background music - had to ask for some music to go on. There was only 3 tables in restaurant at time. We had to get up 3 times to find someone to serve our drinks. As we rushed out to get a taxi I did not realise they had charged £40 service charge and when complaining the next day, the hotel management would not take this off and were not interested in the problems I was raising. Really poor hotel - will not be back.

Needed later check out for office work in the bedroom, late check out nicely provided. Nice breakfast buffet, good hotel
